Being me sucks

Because I am broken

And due to the wall I've built so carefully

No one is ever here for me

Being me sucks

Because of this same damned wall

That makes me send people away

When I would need them to stay

Being me sucks

Because I am not alone

But towards those who extend their hands

I cannot help but behave as a complete little jerk

Being me sucks

Because of all the things I would love to scream

But can't seem to leave my mouth

Trapped between feeling and writing

Being me sucks

Because I cannot let go

And those thoughts eat me alive

Leaving a pain I cannot show

Being me sucks

Because the only person I've loved is gone

And that the only way to feel whole again

Is to leave this world by dawn
