(Normal pov)

Many years ago, the great warlords of the Iron Legion pushed the Vikings and Samurai out of the lands of Ashfeld. We Knights stood proud and strong, and none dared defy us.

Then like a plague, peace fell upon the lands. The warlords faded from history and the people grew weak and complaisant. When the Viking raids began anew, the Iron Legion was not prepared. Ashfeld plunged into chaos.

Yet the Vikings too seemed weak, only a shadow of what they had once been. And the Samurai has not left the Myre in years.

Now, a new force has risen within Ashfeld, the Blackstone Legion. Knights, true warriors. Ones who still understands the difference between predator and prey.

We have come to set the world back on its proper course. This will be an age of wolves.

(Unknown location)

Knights whose armor was black and orange, gathered around a massive table, though these knights were some of the most powerful, skulking, cunning and ruthless warriors in Ashfeld. They were all invited here by their master, whose goal was to start war. After years of peace, the Blackstone Legion was growing in strength and numbers, yet the Iron Legion, though they were once the greatest of all the knight legions, their strength withered away during the years of peace.

And not every knight in Ashfeld wanted war to begin again. As the knights gathered, a lone knight speaks up. "If the commanders of the Iron Legion knew about thi..." A long sword with jagged edges splits muscle and bone, piercing this knight in the chest. He groans in agony and falls down on the ground, now a lifeless corpse.

Enter the Blackstone warlord, the one silencing this knight. Apollyon, the undisputed Warchief of the Blackstone Legion, through her the Blackstones have come to rule Ashfeld. She admires the warriors of all three factions but is disgusted that they have begun setting aside their warring ways in favor of peace. She intends to start a new age of war by turning the three factions and leaders within each faction against each other. She wishes to usher in, as she calls it, "an age of wolves", viewing the groups that are willing to go to war as wolves who will fight for survival and the ones who favor peace are sheep waiting to be slaughtered.

"Now we can speak freely." Apollyon says, as if blood wasn't spilled at all, the knights in room cross their arms, some spinning their swords, and one rises and speaks up.

"Well, that's a relief!" He then joins his fellow knights, a Law Bringer nods and speaks. "We're all your humble servants master." Finally, another knight asks the question everyone in the room wants to know.

"So, what is the real plan?"

Apollyon looks at her soldiers and after fifteen seconds, she answers. "War. The natural state of our species." She then clenches her fist and continued. "Yet these... monsters flee from it." She slams her sword flat on the table and continues. "They're cowards. We must be brave for them." The knights looked at the Law Bringer, he grunts and speaks. "We cannot hope to trigger war everywhere." Apollyon scoffs and replies back.

"We can. If we recruit our enemies to the cause." As the knights came closer, two sentries approached and bowed to Apollyon.

"Speak." She hissed out, the sentries rose and gave their report. "Master, we've seen something, that requires your immediate attention." Intrigued, Apollyon urges her top knights to follow and orders the sentries to the lead the way.

Outside, the Blackstone Legion rules Ashfeld, with them being the most powerful force in the lands, no one would dare attack. But that would soon change. Apollyon notices legions of her soldiers circling something, she pushes through and what she sees shocks her.

A boy, riding a... dragon? She's heard of their existence but has never seen any in her lifetime. Until now.

The boy is the skinniest thing she's ever laid eyes upon, the dragon was crouched on all fours, wings spread out and mouth glowing with violet; eager to fire a plasma bolt. This dragon was as black as Apollyon's heart, she noticed the boy's clothing, he looked as if he hasn't bathed or eaten in days.

"Take him and his dragon to one of our spare homes and provide him a warm bath and food for him and his dragon." The knights nodded and urged the boy to follow, the boy locked his eyes on Apollyon, and he actually seemed... amazed. A rare reaction she's not used to seeing.

Whoever this boy is, he has the ability to tame dragons, Apollyon chuckled darkly at the thought of her army riding dragons into battle. This plan of hers has now expanded, it appears fortune has begun to favor her.

(Hiccup's pov)

I sighed in content as I plunged beneath the warm waters of my bath provided by these... armored warriors. That woman, she not only spoke perfect Norse, but her armor... it was black as night and would send chills down ones spine. But me, I think that armor represents something, I just don't know what.

Me and Toothless had been flying for about a month now and I've seen new dragons beyond the Archipelago boarders. Who could've known a whole new world awaited in the great beyond? Certainly not I.

I helped wash Toothless too, though he resisted a little bit, he submitted and let me aid in washing him.

::Brother, I really didn't need you to assist in bathing me, as if I'm a new born hatchling::

I scoffed and splashed water in Toothless's face, causing him to growl at me, I laughed and held my hands up. "Sorry bud, but you too reeked. I feel refreshed, don't you?" Toothless merely rolled his eyes, and shakes himself; water flew everywhere and Hiccup shielded himself as water droplets pelted him.

"Alright, lets go grab some food and meet this... warlord."

(Twenty minutes later)

After Toothless and I had our fill of food and water, two knights escorted us to their warlord. Her back was turned to us and I looked at what she was gazing at. Thousands upon thousands of knights marched, trained and wheeled in there massive war machines.

"Where are you from?"

I looked toward the warlord and turned her slightly toward me, waiting for me to answer. "I hail from the Barbaric Archipelago." She grunted and spat out. "Vikings." I nodded and spoke. "I'm no Viking, in fact my own father disowned me for training Toothless." Apollyon turned around to face the duo and tilted her head slightly. "Toothless?" Hiccup turned to his dragon. "Show her bud." The dragons teeth retracted and Apollyon chuckled lightly and nodded.

"What is your name boy?"

Hiccup took a breath and replied. "Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III." Apollyon snorted in amusement. "Hiccup?" The boy explained. "I was the runt if the litter I guess you can say... an outcast, a failure and a disappointment to my ex father, Chieftain Stoick the Vast." Apollyon nodded and crossed her arms across her chest.

"Well then, Hiccup Haddock, I'll make you an offer, you serve me, help the Blackstone Legion tame dragons, and in return, you'll be trained in our arts of combat and if you prove yourself, lead as a Dragon Overlord." Hiccup nodded and began to think about the offer, this warlord has plans, big plans, and she looks like she favors strength. This was an opportunity to build himself physically; he'd train until it feels as if his bones would snap, he follow the commands of these warriors and see him to reward and he could teach them how to train dragons. After thirty seconds Hiccup looked at Toothless for a last confirmation, the Night Fury spoke.

::Whatever your decision brother, I'm with you::

Hiccup looked back to Apollyon and asked her four words.

"When do we start?"

A/N: I want let everyone know that breathing down my neck and nagging me to update to STOP. I know you're eager to read the next chapter, but constantly nagging me won't do me any good, I'll update when I am ABLE and when I'm not busy, I have school and work, so I'm busy most of the day. For those of you who have been patient with me? Thank you so much, I've been dealing with a lot of crap at work and on Wattpad and I appreciate you bunch. Hope you enjoy the chapter.
