As soon as the elevator opened again, he shot out to the right, but stopped and quickly turned around when he realized he should have went to the left. He found the room and rushed in without knocking, not that Layla cared.

When he turned his head and saw Layla sitting up in the bed, her eyes wide as she noticed the unruly man in her room, he smiled the biggest smile he had smiled in almost a year.

"Parker!" Layla smiled as she held her arms out to him.

"Oh, fuck, Lays." Parker sighed as he quickly made his way over to her.

He smiled as he sat down beside her and leaned into her arms, wrapping his arms around her waist tightly. Layla's arms wrapped around his neck, and she kissed his cheek. And just like that, she was driving him crazy again.

"Layla, don't you ever leave me again, you hear me? You're never going anywhere without me again, you hear me?" Parker said seriously as he held onto her.

Layla chuckled softly as she ran her fingers through the back of his hair and kissed the side of his face. "Yessir."

"I mean it, Layla." Parker said as he picked up his head and looked into her eyes for the first time tonight and in almost a year. "It's been absolute hell. I'm not letting anything happen to you ever again, I'm not letting you out of my sight."

"Won't you get tired of me?" Layla smiled as she rested her forehead against his.

"Oh, baby." Parker smirked, chuckling dryly. "I could never get tired of you. You're all I've wanted."

"I'm sorry, baby. I didn't mean to, it just-there was another truck coming, and-"

"Shh, I know, baby." Parker said softly as he put a piece of her brown hair behind her ear. "It doesn't matter. It wasn't your fault. All that matters is that you're back with me now."

Layla smiled. "I love you more than anything."

"I love you more, baby." Parker said before closing the space between their lips.

He couldn't keep from kissing her anymore. He had ached for her touch and kiss for so long. He smiled as she kissed him back, and it only took moments for him to deepen the kiss. His hand moved to the bottom of her shirt, and slowly went under her shirt onto her lower back. Layla moaned lowly into the kiss as she moved closer to him.

"God, I missed you so much, Layla." Parker whispered as he started planting kissing along her jaw and neckline.

"I missed you, Parker." Layla whispered as she kissed his forehead.

"You're mine. You're always going to be mine." Parker whispered huskily as he kissed and nipped at her ear.

"You know I am baby." Layla smiled as she slid her hand under the back of his shirt.

"You're so beautiful, Layla." Parker whispered as he untied the back of the hospital gown.

"Parker, I haven't-"

Just then, a knock came at the door, interrupting them. Layla quickly put the hospital gown sleeves back on and Parker cleared his throat as he moved into the seat beside the bed and said come in. Parker leaned over and whispered in Layla's ear, "You're going to get fucked so hard when we get home."

The doctor was walking in, looking down at the clipboard. He stopped in front of the hospital bed and turned to face the couple that was holding hands.

"Mr. Schnabel, good to see you." Dr. Williams nodded.

"Yeah, same to you, man." Parker smiled. "Thanks for taking care of my girl here."

"I have to say, I'm glad you had so much faith, Parker." Dr. Williams said. "Layla seems to be in absolute perfect health. All the tests came back good, and she remembers everything. She didn't scream when you walked in, after all."

Parker chuckled along with Layla. He said, "No, her reaction was a lot happier than that."

"I'm sure." Dr. Williams smiled. "And I'm sure you two are aching to get home to that baby-"

"Where is my baby, Parker?" Layla looked over at her husband.

"He's with Mom and Dad, baby. He was asleep when I got the call." Parker explained.

Layla huffed. "I wanna see my baby. I bet he's grown so much."

"I got a million pictures and videos on my phone you can look through, honey." Parker smiled at her.

"Yay!" Layla smiled before kissing him on the cheek.

Dr. Williams chuckled softly. "Like I said, she wants to go to that baby, so I'm releasing her this morning and you both can leave. Parker, you just might need to help her with her balance, because it's still kind of iffy at times."

"Oh, I'm fine." Layla insisted.

"Don't worry, Doc." Parker said. "I'm not leaving her side."

The doctor nodded. "Well, I'll let you two do what you need to, and I should have the release papers ready within the hour."

"Thanks." Layla smiled as to doctor turned and walked away.

When the doctor walked out and the door shut, Parker smiled at Layla. "Let's get your things so we can leave when he comes back, huh?"

"You can't wait to get me home, can you?" Layla giggled as she tickled his arm.

"You know I can't." Parker smiled.

"Been almost a year, huh?" Layla asked him.

"Yeah, no sex for a year." Parker smirked as he rested his forehead against hers. "Been hell."

"Hmm, I can imagine." Layla mused. "It won't be long now, baby."

"The time can't come fast enough."

Layla chuckled softly before pressing her lips against his. "You know I have to get a shower before we do anything, right?"

Parker leaned back in the chair and groaned. "God, you're killing me, Lays."

Layla chuckled. "You wanna do it before we go get Logan?"

"Hell yeah." Parker said. "I ain't holding nothing back."

She laughed. "I love you, you impatient man."

"I love you more." Parker smirked before leaning over to kiss her again.
