See You Soon~~~~~Newt(The Maze Runner)

Chapter 3

The boys that were heading out started eating breakfast and gathering anything and everything that could help them out there. We had no idea what was out there, so it was just weapons and food and compasses and so much more. I got up to eat breakfast with everyone else. As usual, we ate in silence. I found a hat in the clothes pile to try and block the sun.

It got really silent all of the sudden because it was time for them to leave the glade. We all walked over to the North door. When we got to the edge everyone hesitated, and then suddenly, Minho ran in. He got to the wall at the end and turned right. The rest of the guys that were leaving quickly followed him. The rest of us stood there for about 30 seconds until we left. I looked at my watch; 7:03 AM. Slowly we all walked away from the door, all of us hoping that those guys came back soon. We decided to start building another wall first.

At noon we stopped building to eat lunch. None of us had really talked all day, but at lunch, Gally and Nick started talking about plans for the building that we were making. Apparently, that's what Nick was drawing last night. He planned out everything for the glade, what buildings we need, where the best place to put gardens was and what rooms to put in the first building we were making, which apparently was something called a homestead. I stopped paying attention to that boring conversation and turned to the blond boy.

"Have you remembered your name yet?"

"No. You?"

"No, I wish. Why did everyone else's come so easily? It doesn't make sense."

"This is probably a stupid idea, but, well, nevermind."

"Were you gonna say to just think really hard about it?" I asked.

"Yeah, but it's fine, it was dumb."

"I don't really think anything can be dumb at this point."

"I guess." We went silent at this. I tried super hard to remember my name. It felt like my name was there, but just out of reach. I mentally reached out and stretched, but it wasn't enough. I tried one last time, and it popped into my mind.

"Elizabeth" "Newt" We both spoke at the same time. We both kinda just stared at each other, smiling.

"I guess it wasn't a stupid idea after all"

"I guess not"

The four of us decided to leave the wall half finished for now and start working on gardening. I picked up a pack of green bean seeds and a few gardening tools and walked over to the northeast corner of the glade where Nick said the soil was the best. Nick, Gally, and Newt followed, and Nick pulled out his drawing of the garden and set it on the ground. We all looked at it and talked about it and started working.

It ended up that Newt and Nick worked on a row of corn, while Gally and I started work on a row of green beans. It was more tiring than building, and it was really hot outside, so the guys all took off their shirts or changed into tank tops. I went to the bathroom and changed into a tank top.

We worked for a few hours, and it was actually somewhat enjoyable. We got done with the two rows that we were working on when it was just starting to get a little bit darker. I figured the walls would be closing soon, and I started to get worried about where the other four guys were. I glanced at my watch: 6:14. They had about sixteen minutes to get back before the walls would close, and all of us would be separated. I was getting anxious about their return, or rather if they didn't return, when I saw the boys run back through the doors, Minho first, then Alby, then George, and lastly Ted.

I ran over to the north door, which wasn't that far away from where we were; Newt, Nick, and Gally followed. I approached the boys. Ted looked really tired, but somehow Minho barely even looked flustered. The other boys looked tired but not nearly as tired as Ted.

"What's out there?" Newt asked

Minho was the one to reply,

"It's a fucking maze."

AN: Wow it's another sucky chapter again:/ sorry friends I'm kinda a sucky writer, but FIRST NEWTLIZABETH MOMENT (wow that's kinda a sucky ship name, but whatever it's the only one I could think of lol) nothing really happened lol, but that's kinda the point. It's wayyyyyyy to early for them to even really know each other. Right now they're just kinda trying to survive ig. but they still talked and she saw him shirtless sooooooo :)

I made a cast for all of my oc's, but I can't decide who Nick should be... in my mind he's tall and has dirty blond hair but idk, that might just be me. Ted is Finn from the 100 and I love that show. That's pretty much all I have to say about that.
