I eventually fell asleep, though I don't know how. The shrieking from outside the wall was very distracting, but eventually, my eyes got too heavy, and I couldn't stay awake anymore.

<>Day 2<>When I woke up, the first thing I realized was that it didn't really feel like I slept at all. My head was pounding, and I wanted nothing more than to go back to sleep. The second thing I realized was that I hadn't woken up naturally like I had originally thought. I was woken up by a loud, low rumbling noise. I slowly sat up, rubbing my eyes as I did so, and looked for the source of the familiar noise. I sleepily watched the walls move apart, as I heard the sound of rock grinding against rock. I looked around me and saw that everyone had gotten sleeping bags and pillows and had fallen asleep in the same general area as me. I was the only one awake, and the sun was just starting to rise. In my groggy state, I had almost forgotten that I didn't know anything. I couldn't remember anything. I don't know why, but thinking about my lack of knowledge made me start to cry again. Not bawling or anything, just the tears that I couldn't stop from rolling down my cheeks.
I lay back down and tried to go back to sleep, but I just couldn't. I just lay there, letting the tears fall down my face. One after the other.
I don't know how long I lay there, silently letting the tears drip down my face, but eventually, I heard someone else get up. I told myself to get it together, as I discreetly wiped my eyes and pretended to be sleeping. I also moved my head on top of the small pool of tears that developed on my pillow. I soon heard the boy start talking to someone, the voice sounded familiar, but I couldn't remember whose it was.
"Look the walls opened again."
Another boy groaned sleepily in response. I glanced at my watch 6:57 AM. My head was still throbbing. I heard someone get up, presumably whoever spoke earlier. Whoever it was started walking, but since my back was to them, I couldn't sneak a glance at him to see who it was. I heard him get closer and eventually step right over my legs. As they walked away from me, I opened my eyes to see where they were going and who they were. The boy had really dark hair, I couldn't really tell, but I thought it was Minho. He was the one with a bunch of questions. right? He kept walking away from me, oblivious to the fact that I was awake and watching him. I suddenly realized where he was going, outside of the walls. I jolted upright, my loud sleeping bag alerting Minho of me. He turned around to face me as I said, "Where are you going?"
"I don't know, I'm just wandering, I guess. " He was lying, and I knew it.
