And ladies and gentlemen let me introduce to you my mother, Erica Romairo, the strongest lady I have ever known, she is my best friend, advisor and my weakness. However, she could be annoying at times. I know she doesn't have the same last name as me, but let's save that story for another time. Even I don't know the story behind that, well yet.

I think she told me something along the lines of my dad's last name was D'Alesio, well maybe my first dad she married before.

I groaned in annoyance and made my way to the bathroom to do my morning routine. I have groaned too much today, what a start.

I took a quick shower and looked for something good to wear. I chose to go with some black dress pants with a creme coloured blouse tucked in and a long black cardigan that reached to my knees and folded the long sleeves until the elbows. I put my hair in a high ponytail and applied some thin eyeliner, a little mascara and some pink lipstick. To finish off my outfit, I put on a pair of black boot heels and my favourite golden studded black watch. Unique, that's what I like to dress as. One last look in the mirror and I was good to go.

I was a tall women around the height of 5'6 with long brown silky straight hair, green eyes, pink plump lips, a straight nose, and long thick lashes. And add the part where the lady has a big appetite.

I am half Italian and half Spanish. My father's background is Italian, while my mother's background is Spanish. Great combination right?

I made my way to my boyfriend, my very own car, Acura NSX model that I had bought last year with my savings. Trust me, my car is a beauty and can be afforded by middle class, though I do have the money, but I refuse to use it. Luxury isn't everything, I love the life of a complete independent women. But I don't live alone, honestly living with your family is a blessing. I love the independent life, but living alone is not on my list.

I hope I'm not late, especially after my mom forcing some breakfast down my throat saying that it would keep me energized for a few hours. Notice how she said few hours, she sure knows that I have a big appetite.

Mothers! Sometimes it's scary to have her know you so deep. She might open her mouth anywhere to anyone, gossiping about me. Some secrets are better unknown.

I do remember telling her the name of the company that hired me and she suddenly tensed.

"Honey, where exactly is 'work'? What is the name of the company you work for?" She asked casually while making some lunch. It was a simple Saturday, where me and my mom planned to have lunch together before she leaves for a small coffee meet up with her friends.

"Umm, the Delrasso Empire, it's a very known company here in New York." I spoke after I chewed on my sand which she handed to me. I looked up at her, just to find her body tensed and her quietness when I told her the name of the Empire.

"Mom, are you okay?" I hesitantly asked. I don't know what got her so tensed.

"Oh. Uh, no it's nothing. It just sounded familiar. That's all." She said and gave a nervous laugh.

I rolled my eyes at the obvious information. "Of course mom, everyone knows THE Delrasso's."

"Did you get to meet them? I mean any of the Delrasso's yet?" She asked a little curious. I just gave her an honest nod while telling her about my first day.

"Yes, if you call embarrassing yourself and being caught AND insulting his company's department in his face a meet and greet, then yes I did." I concluded.

She still acted a little weird every time I would mention work. She would pry on me to talk about how my day was and if I was feeling well throughout the entire day.
