~Chapter 3~
After school, I was dragged to the mall with Tami since she, apparently, needed a dress for the party on Friday. My first thought was 'how did she even get an invite when she's only been here for a day' and my second thought was 'why are all the guys (and yes, including Alex) coming with us'. Whatever floats their boat.
When we opened the doors to the mall air blew in my face. Quite frankly I did not like the mall. I mean clothes everywhere, crowded spaces, dressing rooms, it was all just too much. I had only been to the mall about three times in my life. (Haha, imagine if I told those blonde bimbos that! They would probably have a heart attack and die on the floor while I'll just be like "It is the time we have all been waiting for!" While eating a jar of Nutella. Mmmmm... I want Nutella now.). We walked in and Tami immediately dragged me to a small botique. Alex , Ashston and the rest of my little ducklings followed close behind us. The botique was small and I guess you could call it cute with its pink accents here and there and a white chandelier hanging from the top. Tami squealed in delight as she saw dresses that I guess caught her eye. I stood there awkwardly next to Ashton as Tami picked up about two dozen dresses.
"Here," she said, "Your trying these on." She gave me a whole stack of dresses and shoved it into my arms.
"Woah, woah , woah, Tami, slow down there. Sorry, but I don't do dresses." I said trying, unsuccessfully, to give her back the dresses that were in my hands.
"Well now you do, so go to the dressing room and try them on!" she said.
"Tami, these dresses would not look good on me, seriously I'm just going to the party with some jeans, and-"
"No, you will try on these dresses, you will come out and show us, and we will leave this store with a dress that is perfect you , now chop chop!" Having no other choice, I stepped into the hot pink dressing room and closed the door. I looked at the first dress. It was strapless and showed some too much leg. It was all black and had some glitter along the top. No way was I trying that on! I picked up another dress. And another. And another. And another, until Tami barged into the dressing room.
"Ever heard of knocking Tami? You should try it!" I said. She just laughed while pushing her hair out of her face.
"Now why aren't you in a dress! We're all waiting for you!" I gulped when she had said all. Ugh, I just remembered that all of the guys are out there! (Suprisingly, Ashton has never seen me in a dress before.) Now they are just gunna see how ugly I look in these stupid dresses. I'm not like the rest of those girls out there in this watermelon loving world! I don't have a figure (I mean, I gues I have nice sized looking boobies and a small waist, but I'm just an averge nerd) and I can't walk in heels for the life of me. Please God, I know I haven't been the best behaved child out there, but I will do so much if you get me out of here! I mean, I could stop pestering our neighbors dog, I won't eat all of Scott's jelly beans, and I won't shave Jake's hair in his sleep again! Now come on, that is a lot of things I'm willing tosacrafice!
"W-well," I stuttered."I was just, um, observing this, um, this,- CHAIR!" I said pointing at the chair that was sitting at the corner of the dressing room. Tami raised her eyebrows at me.
"Annabelle just get in any damn dress already!" she said while stomping her feet on the ground.
"Which one am I supposed to pick?!" I asked slash yelled. She looked through the dresses until she found a dress that slightly caught my eye. I mean it was gorgeous, but there was no way I could pull it off as good as those models on T.V or whatever. I mean, I'm not fat or anything, I just never wear clothes like this. It was a red dress that came down to like three inches above my knees, a little on the short side for my liking. It was a tight fitted, srappless dress. It was a little plain, but still, it was really pretty.
