last night

after i looked out

you went back to your house

and i couldn't understand

why you'd thrown pebbles in the first place.

but a few minutes later

you climbed out of your window

and told me to open up

and i almost had a heart attack

when you jumped across

the gap

like it was nothing.

you didn't say anything;

you just looked at me like you were asking a question

and i didn't know what it was

until you crawled into my bed and fell asleep.

you were gone when i woke up

but i could've sworn

that earlier

i felt someone kiss my cheek

and it had to be you.
