The doctor come in and hands Ellen papers to sign. Then hands them the discharge papers. "You guys are free to go. Take your time leaving. Drive safe" Patrick shales his hands and the doctor leaves.

"See I told you it'll only be ten more minutes. Here's your clothes. I'll leave the room. Change." Patrick said unsure of the right thing to do here.

"You can stay. I trust you. Okay? I could use some help anyway"Ellen replied and smiled. He nodded. Patrick untied her hospital gown. He picked up her shirt and put it over her head, put one arm in, then the other.
Ellen grabbed her leggings. She nervously looked at Patrick. "I'm not going to do anything. I promise." She nodded so he put one leg through and then the other. He helped her stand up and pull her pants up. She looked in his eyes and asked "Please promise you'll never leave. No matter what I say. Please. I need you."
"I will never leave you Ellen. I don't care what gets in the way. We will figure it out together. I love you." He pulls her into her embrace then pulls back like he always does and places a soft but passionate kiss on her lips. Patrick slides her shoes on, sat her back down, and then went to get a wheelchair. When he comes back, Ellen smiles. "Let's go home  El"
"Finally"she winced in pain as Patrick helped her up and gently set her in the wheelchair. She grabs the bags and sets them on her lap. "Shhh..it's okay. Let's get you home and in bed. My house or your house?" Patrick sat her in the car.
"Could we go to your house? I feel safer there." He nods his head. Patrick just stares at Ellen like  "oh my god. You're mine. I love you."
Ellen let out small giggles before she began to whimper in pain again. Patrick reached over and held his hand out. She placed her tiny hand in his man hands, as she called them. She smiled through her tears as they pull into his driveway. She looked at him and she knew she was home.
