Chapter 2

We walked over to the Box. I noticed for the first time that the box was sort of an elevator. Nick also seemed to notice, because he said, "Hey, maybe we should take this stuff out of here and put it somewhere else. I think if we do, this thing will go down." 

We all agreed to do it after we ate breakfast.

It took a while to empty the Box. It was stuffed full of, well, stuff. It was particularly difficult because we had to have some people in the box and some people out of it because of the height. We eventually developed a system where the people in the box (me, Gally, Ted, and Alby) went through everything and handed it to the people outside the box (Nick, George, Minho, and the blond boy) and they organized everything out there. Basically, there were a bunch of supplies: food stuff, weapons, building stuff, medicine, garden stuff, bathroom stuff, and a bunch of other stuff. 

We were about halfway done when I glanced at my watch, 9:37 AM. I suddenly remembered about the silver things that Minho and I saw in the forest. I figured I should tell Nick and the others about them. 

"When Minho and I were in the forest we saw this silver thing flash past us,"

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that,"

"Really?"

"What did it look like?"

"I didn't really get a good look at it, but it was silver and like... I don't know. I couldn't really see it."

"Okay"

We all went back to working in silence. Ted took four bathroom breaks while we worked though. When he came back from the fourth one I said, "Holy shit, Ted, what did you eat?" Everyone laughed including me. It was funny until I realized that that was the first time that I ever remembered laughing. It eventually went silent again as we worked. 

"Why do we need weapons?" Alby asked, "Someone sent us here with a bunch of weapons, and I don't get it. Why do we need them?"

"Probably to protect ourselves from whatever was making those noises last night. They couldn't have possibly been human." Nick replied. 

"So the walls open in the morning and close at night? Or was that just a one-time thing? Also, how the fuck do those walls even close. They must but super heavy."

"Does anyone know what time the walls opened or closed? That could help us."

"They closed at sunset, but we didn't have our watches yet, and they opened this morning at sunrise, which was, I don't know, 6 or 6:30." I replied, "  I think we should stay here for another day, just to make sure that the walls open and close regularly" Again, Minho sat there looking like a sad puppy. Going outside of the walls seemed to me like a really stupid idea.

We continued to work until noon. The box was mostly empty by that point. We all decided that it was time for lunch. I grabbed 2 bananas and some bread and peanut butter from the food pile and started making a peanut butter and banana sandwich. I was mostly finished with this when Ted came over and sat by me with a can of soup in hand. 

"Hey." He said. 

"Hi"

"Whatcha doin'?"

"Making a sandwich," I replied almost suspiciously. I mean what did it look like I was doing? 

"With peanut butter and bananas?" 

"Yeah, I guess. Is that weird? I don't even know if it is."

"I guess I don't know either, but anyway...  what do you think is out there?"

"I have no fucking idea, Ted, but I have a better question."

"What's that?"

"How the fuck do we get out of here?" 

"I have no fucking idea."

We worked on cleaning out the box for another hour. I was still in the box lifting stuff out and handing it to the guys on the ground. We were almost done all we had left was a stove that was underneath a bunch of other stuff. Gally, Ted, Alby, and I Picked up the stove and struggled to lift it over our heads to Minho, Nick, George, and the blond boy. We eventually got it to where the boys outside of the box could pick it up. I was exhausted, so as soon as the weight of the stove was out of my hands, I put my hands on my knees and tried to catch my breath. When I did this, I happened to look at the floor of the metal box. There I saw a piece of paper. I picked it up and read the words on it.

"Welcome to the Glade."

AN: Guess what guys... I have two followers! and both of them are my friends who I forced to follow me! Yay! Abby and Delaney I loooooveee youuuu<3333, but anyway these first few chapters are SUUUUUUPPPPEEEERRRR boring, and I'm really sorry, but I gotta get that background information in :/ 

WHO COULD THE BLOND BOY POSSIBLY BE????? (also it is blond for guys and blonde for girls. I googled it lol.)
