Chapter 2

"Uhh, I guess, if you really want to." He looked almost disappointed. He probably figured that I wouldn't want him to go past the walls. 

"Should we go to the forest?" I asked awkwardly. Not like I liked him awkwardly, but just awkward in general awkwardly. 

"Sure, I guess." We walked in silence for the thirty seconds it took for us to get to the forest. Thirty seconds doesn't usually seem like a long time, but when it's filled with awkward silence, thirty seconds can feel like a lifetime. 

We finally got to the forest and walked in. I didn't see any animals, but I wasn't sure if I expected to. We walked around in silence for about thirty more seconds (another lifetime) when all of the sudden a flash of silver and red went by on a tree near me. 

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT??? DID YOU SEE IT??"

"See what?" 

"I don't know, the silver thing on that tree." 

"I didn't see anything." 

"Okay, fine."

We kept walking until we came face to face with what was presumably the wall. 

"The forest is bigger than I expected," I said.

"Yeah, I guess." I glanced at my watch, 7:03 AM. 

"Maybe we should go back and see if everyone else is up."

"Yeah, I guess." We started walking back when Minho jumped, scaring the shit out of me. 

"You okay?"

"Yeah, but I think I saw whatever you saw, but I'm not sure."

"I told you there was something." 

"I never said that there wasn't anything."

"Okay,"

Everything was just kinda awkward. I think it was because we didn't know each other, or anyone for that matter. I think it was also partly because I still couldn't remember my name. We came out of the forest to see that a few people were up, including Nick, Gally, and the blond guy. We walked over to them. Their conversation died down as we came near. Nick turned to me and said, "Guess what. Ted over here remembered his name." The guy with longish hair, Ted, as I now knew, continued to sleep. 

"When did he remember it?" I asked.

"Last night after you went to sleep."

I walked over to the blond guy, "I guess we're the only ones left who can't remember our names." 

"I guess," he replied. His voice surprised me. He had an accent, though I didn't know where it was from. I was confused as to why I didn't notice it yesterday, but I supposed a lot of things happened yesterday. 

"So what do we do now?" Gally asked.   

"I guess we try to figure out why we're here, and also to not die," Nick responded.

"Wow, thanks, that really clears things up,"

"Well. I guess we should explore, and try to figure out where we are." Minho seemed to get very excited at this idea. I knew he wanted to go outside the walls, but I didn't know why. There could be anything out there. He could get killed. But little Minho looked like a little puppy dog that wanted to play. 

"Can we eat first, I'm really fucking hungry," a very sleepy Ted asked. 

"I agree," I chimed in. My stomach also decided to chime in with a low growl. Minho looked disappointed again but proceeded to wake up George and Alby to come eat with us.
