A prelude to the coming light
An overture
To prepare for the flight
Of the coming day
To the skies they pray
For gentle winds
They sing their song
For Winter nights
and summers long.
They sing for love
An alarm call
Eloquent arias
That fade in fall
Their souls embedded
Into each call
That is
The Dawn Chorus.
