Kennedy
I help Paris find an apartment around here. Since we are in Los Angeles, they're quiet a few.

"This one looks good, plus, it's close," I tell her, showing her my laptop. She hums in agreement, taking it off me.

"It's three hundred a fortnight," she sighs, "good thing my job has a good pay."

I giggle, knowing she's right. Since she's a lawyer, her income has been pretty high.

Even though Paris has wanted to graduate college, she says she needs to focus on her baby. There's also no need because she's already got the job she wants. So, in a few more months, she's dropping out.

I'm okay with that, my grades have been going well. I may actually have an acting career for a new tv series for Netflix. It's some sort of romantic thing, but it's a horror genre.

I auditioned two days ago, so I'm just waiting for an email to say if I got it or not. I auditioned for the role of the main character, which sounds like a lot of work but I think I can handle it.

I let Paris continue looking at apartments as I get ready to leave. It's almost lunch time so I'm thinking about getting something to eat then see Grayson.

I slide on some Vans, to match my outfit that consists of high-waisted ripped jeans, and a cropped band tee.

I'm comfortable around Paris so I just changed in here. I decide to keep my hair down, not wanting to ruin the curls. I pick up my phone, and my bag.

"I'll be back later," I say to Paris.

"Have fun," she waves, focusing on the screen.

"Bye," I close the door behind me then leave.
***********

I order my food the take a seat at a table for two, but obviously it's only me. I slide my phone into my pocket, observing the cute little cafe.

"Here's your coffee frappe," a high pitched voice says, sliding a plastic cup onto the table.

"Thank you," I smile.

"Your food will be ready in a couple of minutes," she tells me, before walking away. I lift the cup to my mouth, taking a drink.

I sit alone for the whole hour I stay at the cafe for.  I already paid so I grab all of my things then go.

The streets are pretty filled, which always scares me. I always feel like people judge me, everyone who walks past me gives me the same look. It's hard to tell what sort of look it is most of the time.

I should've taken my car, I think to myself. I needed to get some air, so I figured walking is m best option.

The hospital is a good half an hour walk though, which sucks. Maybe I can ask Paris to pick me up or something.
************

"Hi, can I see Grayson in room 19?" I ask, nicely. I'm excited about this visit. I'm not sure, something tells me he's going to wake up.

"He's actually unavailable to see at the moment, someone else is in there," the lady tells me.

"Oh, can I wait in the hall then?" I question, begging.

"Go ahead," she smiles.

"Thank you!" I say, before speed walking to the elevator to get upstairs.

The doors ding open, letting me in. I stand there impatiently, waiting for them to open again.

When they do, I casually reach Grayson's room. Leaning against the wall besides the door frame.

I watch Ethan walk out, making my jaw drop.

"Kennedy!" he cheers, quickly hugging me. I wrap my arms tightly around him.

"How have you been?" I ask, overwhelmed. He's dressed in black jeans, red vans, and a red jumper.

"I'm coping," he nods, "and you?"

"Coping," I relate, nodding my head towards the door, "how is he?"

"He's almost awake, maybe after Aaron's out you and I can go in?" he asks, I nod hesitantly.

"Aaron and Grayson are still friends?" I ask, confused.

"I think Aaron misses him, but no. They had an argument obviously and Grayson beat the shit out of him, poor guy," Ethan says, revealing his teeth by pulling a cringe face.

"Oh wow," I sigh, looking at the door as it clicks open. Ethan is right, Aaron's face is all busted up. I'm not going to lie he still looked attractive.

He glances at me, his face dropping. I observe his face, not looking away. Aaron looks away, before walking off.

"Let's go," Ethan says, walking into the room. I close the door behind me, then walk over to the bed. Ethan's on the left side so I stand on the right.

"Can I?" I ask, gesturing to talk to Grayson.

"Of course," Ethan says, getting himself a chair.

"Alright," I say, then sit down on the chair that's already there.

"Grayson, please wake up. I miss you so much, you don't even know. I couldn't sleep last night, at all. All my body seemed to do is think about you, and it made me realise that... you're the one that I want, that I need. I can't live without you Gray, so please wake up," I whisper. I rest my hand on his forearm, like last time.

"Kennedy?" his voice mumbles.

"It's me," I breathe out, smiling. I look up at Ethan, whose smile is from ear to ear.

"Can you open your eyes buddy?" Ethan asks, leaving forward.

I watch Grayson's face, as my thumb nervously wipes across his skin. His eyelids squeeze hard, before gently opening.

I feel my face light up, and my stomach curl. I cover my mouth with my hand, tears filling my eyes.

"Grayson!" Ethan cheers, standing up, the back of his knees knocking the chair back. I jump, but focus on Grayson.

He slowly sits up, looking around the room. Ethan hugs him, as Grayson just rests his head on his shoulder.

"I'll go get the nurse," Ethan says, running out. I look at Grayson, smiling.

"I heard everything you've said," he talks, with a croaky voice.

"Everything?" I ask, blinking. Another tear falls, as I drop my other hand into my lap.

"I'm so glad I woke up," he smiles, tears filling his eyes too. I stand up, so I can hug him. He pulls me onto his lap, nuzzling his head into the crook of my neck.

I take in a deep breath, then let out a deep breath. The door swings open, as the nurse walks in. Grayson rests me on the mattress besides him.

"Glad to see you're awake," she smiles.

"I'm glad too," he agrees. He smiles, giving him dimples.

Wow, this man is adorable.
