Kennedy
I wake up in my room, still really tired. It feels weird knowing Aaron and I are still together but he's in America and I'm back in Australia.
I figured it's time to come home, spending time with my family.
I sit up, then walk out to where my mum and Max are running around.
"Kennedy!" Max cheers, smiling.
"Hey guys," I rub my eyes, then hug them.
"I'm so glad you're okay," my mum whispers to me.
"Me too," I agree.
"I am getting my eyes checked today," Max says, walking to the table to finish his breakfast.
"Really? I bet you it's eye strain," I say, observing where he thinks it hurts.
"That's what I thought too," mum nods. I stroll over to the pantry, getting some cereal.
"Are you going to meet up with Chloe?" mum asks, picking at her fingers.
"We haven't talked in a while," I drift off. Come to think of it, why did we stop being friends?
"Oh hunny I'm sure you'll make another friend," she says, pouting.
"I have. Paris, Grayson, and Ethan," I smile at her.
"They better treat you well," she playfully says.
"They do mum," I laugh.
"Max if you're done, go get changed," she tells him. I put the milk away, grabbing a spoon on the way.
"Will you be okay on your own?" she asks me.
"Yeah!" I nod, "I need to unpack."
"Of course, well I might buy lunch on the way back so don't eat all the food," she laughs, walking to her room to change. I smile, then finish eating my cereal.
*********
After a few minutes of unpacking, my room looks somewhat better. Many clothes were thrown in the washing machine. Others I put away because I didn't wear them.
I have a shower, shaving and what not. I change into an oversized jumper I bought, with just a bra and underwear. I know they will be out for a while so I didn't mind.
I walk down stairs, using my towel to dry my hair. I look around, at what I can do.
Watch movies, play games, chill on my phone, draw. As I'm thinking, there's a sudden knock at the door.
I pick up the blanket that is on the edge of the couch, wrapping myself inside it. Then, I open the door.
"Grayson!" I cheer,
running towards him. He indulges me into a hug, which I gladly accept.
"I thought you had to stay in L.A?" I ask, letting him walk inside. We walk to the couch, I just put my blanket behind me. I sit cross-legged, listening.
"I needed to tell you something. I didn't want to do it in person," he tells me. I bite my lip, that could mean anything.
"Is it bad?" I ask, putting my hands on my face.
"No, it's not that bad," he says, taking my hands, realising that they are now touching. He doesn't let go, but, neither do I.
"Can I try something?" he asks, leaning in.

"Hey mum!" I smile at her, as they walk in the door.
