"Hey Don? Call me back as soon as you get my message? Thanks. See ya." I leave a voicemail. I really hope Donavan Romano isn't the same as my godfather...the name is pretty common right? oh how I wish.

"What is up with this family connection thingy?" I run my eyes from exhaustion. Next thing I know I will be sprouting white hairs. I'm too young to have white hair! The stress is killing my brain cells. And I need my brain cells for my finals next week. Shoot! I have finals next week I have yet to study for...

I pound my fists on my bed as hard as I can.

"Take this!" I throw my pillows at the wall. "Take that!" I grab my pillow are start swinging it around. I stand up and jump crazily on my bed as if it was a trampoline.

"AUGHHHH!" I belt out. I might as well right? My mom is still out on a business trip, my dad is at work, and my bro is out with his friends.

"Whew," I wipe my sweat off my brows. The yelling helps a little. Just a little. Now everything is quiet and still. I breathe as calmly as I can, hoping to let my beating heart cool down. I lay on my back for a few minutes, my mind lost in a swirl of thoughts.

Rinnnnngggg! Rinnnnnnggggg!

I look at my phone screen: Don!

"Hello?" I answer.

"Hey Emma. What's up?" He replies, upbeat.

"Are you busy tonight or now?" I wonder if I should just ask him blunty on the phone? I never quite know when is the right moment to say certain things. Perhaps this is not the greatest time and I should wait until we see each other in person.

"No, I am free all night." I can hear his voice have a curious edge to it.

"Can I come over?" I query. It has been a while since I last went over. I do want to hang with him even though my main goal is to pry answers from him...Okay, I do not even know if he is who Drake claims him to be. I am not doubting Don; I am just making sure he is not related somehow...

"Tonight?" He mulls it over. "Sure. You want to come over in thirty minutes? Want me to pick you up or are you going to bike on over?"

"Okay! See you later!" I exclaim. Part one completed. I leave out the part about me skateboarding over. Don disapproves of me skateboarding, thinking I will one day slip and crack my skull since I don't always use my helmet. It just isn't cool to wear a helmet, okay? C'mon, I am careful enough without it. I think my bicycle is in the corner of my garage somewhere gathering dust. Ever since I bought my skateboard last year, I have been using it constantly.

Grabbing my wallet, keys, and cellphone, I head on out with my board. It takes a good twenty minutes to skateboard to Don's flat, but when I feel lazy it takes thirty. When I am lazy, I just cruise on flat pavement, no hills or tricks.

I get to Don's flat around thirty minutes later. Taking my key out, I unlock the door and enter. My family and Don used to go over each other's houses all the time. Sometimes, Sunny and I crash at Don's flat. Yes, he has a bachelor's flat, or whatever people call them. I wonder if he has a girlfriend? He is getting old, maybe Sunny and I should hook him up or something? Focus on the task. I shake my head. "Donnnnn!" I call out to let him know I am here.

"Yo!" Don's head pops out of nowhere from his kitchen. "I picked out some movies to watch and I almost done with some pasta."

"Yummy!" I grin. He makes a mean pasta. Must be the italian side of him or something? I go to the kitchen to help him out. The smell wafting in the air is so heavenly.

"I'll go get the utensils and set everything up at the table." I go to the drawers and pick out the silverware. I lay them on the table. Soon after, he sets the pasta out onto the table.
