Brandi glared at me then sighed," Fine. She could come, but only if the four of you come too." she said, smiling up at them.

Before I could tell her I don't want to go to her party, her and her minions turned and strutted away from the five of us, so I turned and glared at Ash," Really!?! You know I don't like parties and I'm not going to go with you, right?"

Ash just gave me this look that said 'you're going whether you want to go or not.' I just sighed and started heading towards the school, the guys following close behind.

We all had homeroom together, so we started heading over there. We made it to class right when the bell rang. When we got inside, there was a lot of whispering and everyone kept glancing up to the front of the class. That was when I noticed two obviously new students standing at the front of the class. They both looked alike with the same curly hair and bright blue eyes.

As soon as the five of us sat down in our seats, our homeroom teacher, Mr. Richardson, told us to quiet down.

"I would like you all to warmly welcome our two new students," Mr. Richardson said," Why don't the two of you introduce yourselves to the class."

The girl was the first to speak," Hi! I'm Tami Stone and this is my twin brother Alex Stone. We just moved here from New York City a couple days ago." She seemed so... happy. Not that that's a bad thing! I mean, who am I to judge, but she doesn't seem like the other blonde bimbos that go to this school. She actually looks like she has a brain in that head of her's.

Mr. Richardson said," Thank you. You may both take a seat in the back near Annabelle, seeing as there are two free seats behind her."

Ugh! I always liked how there was or no one sitting behind or next to me because then I had a place to put my bag instead of having to put it on the dirty floor. Whatever, at least these people looked like they wouldn't bother me all that much.

As they came twards their seats, the girl, Tami, took the seat to my left, while the boy, Alex, took the  seat behind me.

Tami turned to me smiling, and said," Hey, I'm Tami, as you know and your obviously Annabelle and I'm probably just rambling, but that's just how I get when I meet new people, especially really pretty people like you are, but your just hiding it behind those large glasses and baggy clothing and-"

She was cut off by her brother," Tami, that's enough. You're gonna scare the poor girl away." He said chuckling.

I was just sitting there, two things going through my head at the moment. The first being; what the heck was Tami talking about? I mean, why would she say that I was pretty? I mean, you should see her. She was beautifiul. I, well... wasn't. And I don't mean that in a depressed I'm-going-to-go-home-and-cut-myself-in-a-dark-corner-while-crying kind of way. It's just a fact.

But the second thing going through my head was; wow he had such a great smile. For the record, I have never even thought a guy was cute in a romantic-interest kind of way, so it was a little weird that that thought had crossed my mind.

Tami started talking to me again," You know what?! I think you are going to be my new best friend! We can go to eachothers houses, and have sleepovers, and talk about boys-"

This time it was me who cut her off," Woah, woah, woah! Who said anything about being friends? I barely even know you." I didn't want to seem rude, but she was just scaring me a little.

" Oh, sorry! Didn't mean to come on so strong. Maybe we can just start off as friends," she said, smiling sheepishly.

I thought about it, then said," Okay, I guess we could do that."

The rest of the day flew by until it was lunch. The moment we sat down, Tami came and sat inbetween Scott and I, while Alex looked a bit embarassed about his sister. Feeling a little bad for him, I told Scott to move down a bit and told Alex to have a seat next to his sister.

Then Tami turned to me and talked animatedly about all the classes she had before lunch while Alex seemed to be getting along with guys. It felt kind of weird to talk to a girl, I mean I'm kind of used to just talking to guys, but it feels good to have some girl talk with a real girl, even if she was doing most of the talking.

When the bell rang at the end of lubch, we all got up to go to our lockers. While I was walking down the hall, I wasn't paying attention to what was a head of me and ended up running into something- or more like someone. At first I thought I was gonna fall over and land on my ass, but instead I was caught by two arms snaking around my waist, holding me tightly. When I looked up, I was so caught up in his blue eyes I didn't even know how to speak like a normal human being!

"I'm... um.... I didn't me... uh...," I cleared my and tried again," I am so sorry, Alex. I din't mean to run into you it was a total accident."

He just chuckled and said," It's fine. Don't worry about it," Then slowly letting me go and said," I'll see you later."

I just stood there like an idiot staring at his back, feeling cold suddenly with his arms around me.

I've never really felt like that before, so why now?
