- CLEMENTINE -

"What time are your parents coming home today?" Ashton ponders as he speeds us to school.

I shrug, "They should be home by the time we're done with school."

"Did you pack all your stuff?"

I sigh, "Yeah..."

We're silent for a while. I smirk when I see him biting the inside of his cheek. "... I know you're going to miss me living with you. It's okay to cry," I shrug.

He narrows his eyes at me, "Hilarious."

"Seriously, I won't judge," I pull out my phone, "But tell me when you're about to so I get it on tape."

"Can you believe we've got less than a month left before graduation?" he mumbles as we make our way to class.

"I know, it hasn't hit me yet. I don't want it to end," I groan.

Aya and Hana rush towards us. "Congrats on the baby!" Aya squeals. Ashton frowns and I break into laughter. Hana looks shocked, "What baby?"

Aya shrugs, "Didn't you hear? Ashton and Clem are expecting!"

Hana's frown deepens, "Are you serious? No, you're joking! Oh my God, seriously?"

I grin, "We are, and we're so happy!"

"Oh lol oh my God," she says. She literally says lol. "Congrats, I guess?"

I nod, "Thanks. We're hoping for triplets."

Ashton laughs at this, so does Aya, but poor Hana looks as horrified as ever. "What did your parents say? Are you guys actually being serious?"

Jesus, how gullible can you get? I sigh, "No, Hana... We're just kidding."

"Oh lol I knew that. I was gonna say, OH MY GOD LIKE HOW?"

I cringe as Ashton stifles a laugh and Aya pinches the bridge of her nose. We remain in awkward silence for a while. Hana automatically gets defensive, "What?"

"Um, I gotta run. See you later," Ashton tells me.

"See ya."

"Anyway! Prom is in two weeks!" Aya changes the topic.

I wince, "Oh, seriously?"

She shrugs, "Well yeah... This week is review and stuff, next week is exams, and prom is Friday night after our final exam."

I groan, "Well, shit."

"We need to go dress shopping!" Aya chirps. "Can we go this weekend? My parents won't let me go afterward cause exams."

Great. Now I have to know what day they're planning to go shopping so I can fake my death.

"Alrightyyy, Mr. Black has a few announcements for y'all," Ms. Shanice tells us as we seat ourselves.

"Hello everybody! Are we excited to graduate?"

The entire class roars with claps and cheers. Mr. Black nods a few times, "Well then we need to focus on exams next week, isn't that right? Finals are worth twenty percent of your overall grade. So if you're already failing, you really need to focus and get your act together. You're done with high school, you only have next week to worry about, and then you're off for another week before graduation. Now, if you do fail your classes or an exam, we're going to have you come in during that week and try to make up work so you can graduate. I don't want to see any of you in school trying to make up for work, get all your stuff in this week and be prepared for your exams."
