Chapter Thirteen-Project Earth Forces

I stand just outside the Ghost onboard Burgundy Home, which hovers above Takodana's moon. Ahsoka is taking Vader to the medic, who is trying to build a new suit.

"There's talk of imprisoning Vader." Kanan explains.

"They don't trust him?"

"He was a Sith Lord, and he killed hundreds of Jedi." Kanan exclaims.

I close my eyes. "I knew this would happen."

"Hera wants to speak with you."

"Of course she does."

Footsteps trot agains the steel boarding ramp and I walk through the corridors of the Ghost to reach the cockpit.

"Hera, you summoned me?"

"Sit." hera insists. She is holding a cup of galactic tea, and I sit down.

"Why did you summon me?"

Hera glances at me. "Look, after the attack on Mandalore and the Earth sanctuary, the rebellion is looking for another base. But, the Empire has Project Earth Forces. Vader's told the rebels everything about it, and we know where their primary base is."

"Where is it?"

"Kamino."

"What about the Earth Jedi?"

"He's meditating with the Silver Holocron. Now, come with the Ghost on our mission to Kamino."

"I'm in."

"Good. We need to strike before they can escape."

I smile. "But, first, I need to talk with Vader."

"You do that."

Ahsoka holds Anakin's gloved hand.

"Ahsoka, I'm sorry, about everything." he whispers.

Ahsoka lets those words sink in, and looks at her master. "Anakin, I've already forgiven you."

"I know, Snips."

Ahsoka smiles. "This Nathan kid could be a great apprentice."

"Look at you, talking about apprentices."

"Well, he's got potential, that Nathan."

"I can sense the Force within him."

"He's brought hope to many."

"I know."

"I think there's someone here who has to see you."

The door opens, and Luke and Leia enter. 

Anakin gasps through his filter, and through his eyes, tears swell.

"My children."

Ahsoka giggles as Anakin hugs them.

"Leia looks just like...Padme."

Anakin then starts to cry tears of joy, and then Ahsoka leaves them be. Then, she is interrupted by Nathan.
