Y/N
"Miles! Yah, why are you sleeping on my couch again?!" Y/N chuckled, the stench of alcohol filling her small apartment. There's no doubt in her mind he got far too drunk last night and then ended up back at her place, she was confused as to why he hadn't spent the night with his boyfriend though.
"Y/N, sweetie. I've got the worst headache so please be gentle with me, do you have water? I need water, my mouth feels like a desert." Miles grumbled, swinging his legs around to sit properly on the couch.
"You sound rough, how much did you drink?" She didn't feel bad for him in the slightest, this was self inflicted.
"Ugh, no idea. I do remember one thing though, Cyrus asked me to marry him."
Y/N opened her mouth, a small excited shriek came out. She then paused, why didn't he seem happy.
"Miles? What's wrong?" She sat beside him, fingers dancing along his thigh before finding his hands and holding them. She heard him let out a sigh
"I freaked out! I love him, of course I do but marriage! I'm not ready for that, you know what comes after marriage? Living together! Then after that comes regret, arguments and before you know it we're getting divorced!"
She rolls her eyes and laughs.
"Y/N this isn't funny, I'm serious about this."
"No....you're just afraid Miles. I know you, I know how much you love Cyrus. You're just afraid of losing him, don't be. Cy just proposed to you, doesn't that show you how much he loves you?"
She hears him sigh again.
"You're right....ugh I'm such a dick. I ran off, he tried calling and messaging me but I ignored him. I feel terrible, I should go to see him."
"Yes, you..."
Y/N didn't get to finish her sentence when loud knocking suddenly interrupted the moment.
"Y/N, princess is my idiot boyfriend hiding in your apartment?!"
She chuckled, feeling Miles immediately leave her side and hearing his footsteps as he approached the door and opened it.
"So this is where you decided to hide! I've been looking for you all night, I called! I texted! I went to your place! I went back to the bar! I asked you to marry me you giant ignoramus! I didn't ask for your organs to sell on the black market!"
Y/N tries to hold back her laugh as she listened to Miles attempting to calm him down.
"Cy, please forgive me. I wasn't expecting that, I love you dearly but the whole proposal thing scared the shit out of me. I didn't know what to do, I got stupid drunk and crashed here."
She heard Cyrus click his tongue against the inside of his cheek, something he did when he was pissed off.
"My answer is yes."
"You......you said yes?" Cy stuttered
"I said yes, come here....let me say sorry."
Y/N heard them both laugh, footsteps as they moved closer to embrace and then the smacking of lips.
"Yah I'm happy for you and love both of you endlessly but no making out in my apartment, go to your own."
They both laugh then suddenly she's tackled back on the couch.
"Yah, get off me the both of you." Y/N chuckles as they both pull her in for a group hug.
Today was going to be a good day.....or so she thought.
Later that day.
Y/N.
"You what?!" Y/N maybe raised her voice too loud but blamed that on the shocking information her boss and good friend Jisoo just gave her.
"Y/N please! Calm down, everything will be fine. He promised you wouldn't lose your job here, one detail I insisted on adding to the terms and conditions of the contract is that all my employees get to keep their positions."
Y/N shook her head, still not believing Jisoo had sold the business. This place meant everything to her.
"Why didn't you tell me? I could've helped with the payments, I didn't know you were struggling."
Jisoo gave her shoulder a reassuring squeeze
"Y/N please don't feel bad, this is my business and my fault for getting behind on the payments. I tried to keep going but once Mr Kim approached me with his offer, I couldn't refuse. I get to keep my title as manager, you guys keep your jobs and Mr Kim and his associate get to make any changes they want within the business as far as menu and interior design go. I think it's a win-win for all involved, Mr Kim seems very nice when we spoke over the phone this morning. I invited him over to meet with us tomorrow, we'll finalize everything then."
Y/N slumped back in her chair letting out a big sigh, whoever this Mr Kim is she hopes he's easy to get along with and that he wouldn't change the place too much.
