"So if you liked this video, please give it a thumbs up, and if you aren't already, subscribe! We love you all, see you next week," My best friend says to the camera.
I smile along with her before she turns the camera off.
"Lets go shopping!" She says.
"I'm broke," I sigh, pushing off the ground to stand up.
Alicia does the same. "Then let's aimlessly wonder around the store, I'll deal with that later, by the way." she points to the camera.
I nod. "I don't know, I would feel the need to buy everything and go into overdraft protection."
"Fight the need."
"I can't, I'm not strong enough."
"Then get a personal trainer."
"That's what we should do," I exclaim.
"Get a trainer?" Alicia asks, confused.
"No, let's go run, I haven't worked out yet."
"Ha! No, have fun," she says before leaving me in my room.
"Don't eat my food, I don't have money to get more!" I yell after her before laying on my bed.
"That's just sad, Sydney. You need to get a job," she says, reopening the door.
Great, I get to get taught a lesson by my second mom. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Alicia. She's my best friend in the whole world, I wouldn't want anyone else to be my best friend, but she loves to teach people. Also she has to put her opinion into everything. Including the quitting my job problem I'm in.
"Tons of businesses would love to have you work with them, you just need to put yourself out there, that's what would be best for you. It's New York City, soon you won't have any food left, not because I'll eat it, then you won't be able to pay rent, and your ass is damn sexy so your basically asking to be a prostitute. Do you really want that to happen to you? You have to do something with your life before it's ruined."
"Oh, I'll just live with you," I say, rolling my eyes.
She sighs, "that would be all fine and dandy but," she trails off.
My eyebrows draw together in confusion. "What do you mean?" I ask.
"Jax is moving in with me," she whispers.
I gasp and jump off of the warm mattress. "That's fantastic!"
She smiles nervously.
"What? Is something wrong? Aren't you happy?" I ask quickly.
"I am," she shrugs.
Jax and Alicia have been dating for four years, since 8th grade. It was really just a joke, but then it turned into a real relationship. Our fans - my little ducks - even gave them the ship name of Jaliciax. Besides the point, but I'm still proud of it, they gave me a ship name with Harry Styles. Myles - Miller and Styles, because Sarry and Hydney just sounded dumb. Anyway, they lasted through high school, and the months since summer has started - two. I thought they were doing fine, maybe not?
"It's just, I don't want to make a dumb decision. I love him," she adds quickly, "I just don't want to do something stupid that could cost my relationship with Jax."
I nod. I suck at giving advise. I hate feeling like I have too. The pressure is overwhelming.
"It's fine though, I've got stuff to do. We'll talk later. Love ya bae." She turns and walks through the doorway, leaving me alone in my bedroom.
I remember when everything was easier. Like when we were all six years old, and the only thing we worried about was getting our favorite color crayon or who had the frosting coated animal crackers. Now life is just hard and confusing.
Sad and boring.
Or that's just me. Or maybe not, I wouldn't know. I live in my room, and make YouTube vids. That sounds fun, doesn't it? Yea, right up until you find it being the only thing you do. I seriously don't even have a life since school ended.
My parents just ditched me, they are so old school, they hate the idea of YouTube and all of the things I do with my life, so they said they wouldn't pat anything until I cleaned up my act.
I gather up the fuzzy blanket and wrap it around myself. Even though it's July, my apartment is the temperature of Antarctica. The heat is turned off in the summer, and I can't get the AC to budge, literally the button broke off, so there will be no twisting the little nob thing. It's expensive too, I've talked to the landlord and he said someone would be over to fix it. Five months ago.
I grab the remote control and turn on the t.v. flipping through channels, ending up on The Big Bang Theory, because I have a typical life. Then going along with typical, I crave a little Starbucks. Then conclude that going on from this point in life, I don't want to be typical.
