Chapter 2

PERRIES POV

Sfter a long night of tossing and turning it was time to get up for my next shift. Jesy and Leigh-Anne had the week off. I got up, throwing some leggings and a grey jumper on. I walked through to our kitchen area, to find Jesy cooking.

"Hey" I greeted her, getting a carton of orange juice out the fridge and pouring it into a glass.

"Hey, do you want some bacon?" She turned to face me.

"Yeah sure, may as well eat before work" I smiled standing against the worktops.

"How did you sleep?" She asked.

"Not very well" I sighed.

"Tell mammy Jesy what's bothering you" Jesy had moved from Essex at quite a young age, so she has started to develop the use of Geordie terminology. But she still has her Essex accent, which both Leigh-Anne and I love. Leigh moved up for High Wycombe so she's the same as Jesy, still has her accent but not using words like 'mam' and sometimes saying 'man' at the end of sentences while trying to prove a point.

"It's that girl. I'm just worried that's all" I took a drink of my orange juice.

"Perrie your so caring, got a heart of gold" she smiled "but she's probably strong enough to look after herself"

"That's the thing, though. She looked so frail, like her bones could snap at anytime. She looked like she was just gradually fading away" I sighed. "Could you make another sandwich?"

"You want to take it to her don't you?" She turned smiling. I nodded in response "your an angel, you know that right?"

"Well you know, my halos just here" I joked pointing above my head.

"Morning" Leigh came stretching and yawning out of her and Jesys room.

"Morning" I smiled back as she leaned over to peck Jesys lips. I sat down at the little table.

"There's a sandwich there for you babe" she nodded her head over at the plate.

"Aw thanks chicken" she smiled sitting in front of me.

"Leigh, Perrie's going to take that girl a sandwich" she smiled.

"Aw, Perrie the guardian angle" she smiled sincerely.

"I just feel bad for her living out on the streets" I sighed as Jesy passed me my plate "thanks" I started eating and had finished in no time.

"Here's that" she put the sandwich in some tin foil and left it on the bench while I put my boots and leather jacket on. I put it in my bag.

"Thanks jes, bye Leigh" I shouted walking out the door getting a bye in response from both.

I put my headphones in and pressed shuffle. A team by Ed Sheeran came on again. I listens to the lyrics thinking how they basically described the nameless girl on the street. Her face slowly sinking from the lack of food. I wonder how long it's been since she had food before last night. If she had even had any water before then. The song finished just when I got next to her, again. I crouched down next to her and she tilted her head to look at me. She smiled weakly when she saw who I was.

"Hello again" I smiled, I went in my bag and held out the sandwich to her. "I brought you this" her eyes looked at me as if too ask 'are you sure?' I held it out for her to take it.

"Actually, how about you come to my work?" She looked scared. "I don't mean anything like that, just you can sit outside of it if you want? I can come and keep you company on my break" I smiled at her. She face softened and she nodded. I stood up and held my hand out to help her up. She stood up and lost her balance. I held her and as she found her balance, she winced at where my hands were. "I'm so sorry, did I hurt you?" I asked cautiously. She shook her head. We started walking in silence.

"I'm Perrie by the way" I smiled putting my hand hand out. She smiled shaking it. She looked like she was going to say something but didn't. I passed her my phone and went on the 'notes' app. She shot me a confused look.

"Type your name on there if you don't want to talk" She slowly gripped the phone and typed. She handed it back to me. "My names jade" I looked to her and smiled.

"You have a beautiful name" I put my phone back in my pocket. She smiled as we walked.

A beautiful name for a beautiful girl.
