"We gotta go to find Millard and Fiona." Said Emma. Miss Peregrine was very shocked with the picture. It meant that Fiona was alive somewhere, in a shape of a wight. And we were quite sure that Millard was taken by the wights, since he didn't come until dinner.

"Fiona never would've done that. She's not that kind of a person who would betray peculiardom!" Said Hugh. It was his first words since he came to my house, and his voice was broken.

"We know, Hugh. We know." Murmured Emma, putting a hand on Hugh's shoulder. Hugh was shuddering, fidgeting his fingers and his fingers began to bleed.

"Hugh!" I said, stopping him fidgeting.
He burst into tears, hugging his legs.

"Hugh, you need some rest." Said Emma softly.

"I had enough!" He said, but Emma was already pushing him out of the room. Hugh went to his room, sniffling and wiping out his blood. Emma, Enoch and I remained in my room, keeping silence.

"That picture's definitely not fake." Said Enoch, breaking the silence.

"I'm going to find Mill and Fiona." Said Emma.

"But what if she's a wight now?" I asked.

"She can't be! She's my friend!" Said Emma. She was about to burst into tears too, so I didn't say more.

Enoch rubbed the floor with his fingers without any words, and Emma bit her lips nervously.

"We leave this place tonight." Announced Emma, standing up from the ground.

Enoch and I looked up at her, still sitting on the floor.

"Who are we going to go with?" I asked.

"Just the three of us." Answered Emma. Enoch seemed to be a little surprised.

"I'm going too?" he asked.

"Don't you want to go?" asked Emma, raising an eyebrow. Enoch said nothing.

"Where are we going to go?" He asked. "There's no way we would make this." He mumbled, rubbing his whole face.

Emma stared at him for a while, opened her mouth to say but closed it again. She looked at Enoch without words, and spoke.

"How do you know we're going to fail? We haven't even started yet." She was frowning, and her hands were on her waist.

We sat there without any words, blank. It was clear that all three of us were terrified for another adventure.

"Are we sure we want to do this?" I asked.

Emma nodded, and even Enoch did.

And he said something I doubted my ears:
"It's related to our friend. We should do it."

It was midnight, and I was getting ready for bed when I heard a noise outside my room. Enoch was always in his room, so I was very much aware that there was no one to make noise in the basement in this time. I grabbed my gun from my pocket - I always carried two or more - and yank opened my door.
