As I sat there questioning things a memory came back to me. I was sitting in my living room one day waiting for my parents to come home. Usually, my parents were there when I got home from school but today for some strange reason they weren't. Just as I was about to call my neighbor a policeman showed up at the door. I could tell by the expression on his face that it was bad news. My parents had died in a car accident and looking back at it now I pondered whether this was true or not. I did not understand at the time but some of my family questioned why they would not let anyone view the bodies. After being told that the bodies had been burned and were unrecognizable I guess everyone understood and did not question it any further. Sitting here now though, I think it was a lie to cover up what really happened.
