I sit in the doctor's table, impatiently waiting my result. They were able to get me in right away and I took the appointment. I sent Alexander a text to let him know I was just running a few errands.

A few minutes later the doctor comes in with a small smile on her face. "Hi, Mrs. Knight. I have your results..."

I bit my lip, anxious to hear. "Okay..."

"Well you are in fact pregnant. Congratulations." She says with a wider smile.

My eyes went wide. Pregnant. A million things go through my mind. Am I ready? Will I be a good mother? Will I be like my mother? "Whoa." I breath out.

Images of how I would imagine our baby suddenly came to mind. If it's a boy, I'd definitely want him to look more like Alexander. Handsome like his father. I just hope he won't be as hard headed. But if it's a girl, I hope she gets his eyes. They're beautiful.

"Are you alright, Mrs. Knight? Do you need some water?" The doctor asked, concerned.

I nodded. "I-I'm alright. Water would be great." I said with a small smile.

She nodded. "I'll be right back." She closed the door behind her and left me with the biggest news of my life.

Pregnant. I'm pregnant.

What will Alexander think? Does he even want kids? This was moving so fast and it's like it all caught up to me in this one moment. I love Alex and of course I wanted kids with him one day.

My hand immediately went over my stomach. A life was growing inside of me. One day this little person would be my whole world. I guess he or she already was. Ready or not, this baby was coming. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Alex and I have been... reckless I guess you could say.

The doctor returned with a small cup of water. "Here you are."

I thanked her before taking the cup and drinking it. The cool liquid helped for sure. I also just needed a moment to process it all.

The doctor went on to further explain what the next steps would be. I'm seven weeks along, so in the first trimester. We'll need to do a follow up appointment within the next month, but should start prenatal care right away.

I finished up there and headed back home. Alexander wasn't there because he had a meeting today at work.

As soon as I got home I began pacing. How was I going to tell him? Oh hey, Alex. How was your day? Oh by the way you knocked me up.

Yeah I shouldn't say that.

The elevator opening made me jump. I turned to see Ronan and Scott walk in. They had driven me to the doctor's, but had no idea why. I of course wouldn't tell them. That'd be weird if they were the ones who knew first.

Alexander had actually grown to like Ronan. Of course he still thought he was occasionally flirting, but not so much anymore. Maybe it's because Ronan actually got engaged. I didn't even know he was dating someone until a month ago!

"Mrs. Knight, we have to do a security around the building check under Mr. Knight's orders. Ronan will be right outside the door if you need anything." Scott explained.

I nodded. "Thank you, Scott." They both walked out and back to the elevator.

Alexander had been extra protective lately since everything happened with Dimitri. The press got ahold of part of the story. Basically the part where Dimitri was embezzling money. Regardless, the press were hounding me since I was his step daughter. My mother was basically in hiding at this point.
