Chapter 17: Sad faces

Johnny's dead.
Dal runs out of the hospital and I turn into ponyboy since Dals not here.
I don't know where he's going but I hope he'll be ok.
Ponyboy and I get in the car, and I drive to his house.
We walk in, Soda and Darry look at us, obviously we're upset, our faces are emotionless.
"Pony?" Asks Darry
"Johnny's dead" I Burst into tears and drop to my knees, I can't keep it in.
I miss him already, he can't be gone. He can't be!
Ponyboy drops next to me, and hold me
"It's ok Amber" but I can't hold it in I'm screaming in tears, I can't lose Johnny, but I did.
"No Ponyboy he's gone! He gone... I can't believe it, he's gone! What am I gonna do without him?"
"I don't know Amber... I just don't know" he says crying with me
"Where's Dally?" Asks Darry
"He ran off somewhere, he's gonna do something Darry. We gotta do something" I say
"Like what?" He Asks
"We gotta find him" I say
"I can't lose him too" I add, and I'm finding it hard to breathe, I pass out into Pony's arms.
I wake up on the couch.
"What happened?" I ask
"She's up, hey kid. Uhm you passed out" Says Two-Bit
"Oh, -" I'm cut off by the phone ringing
Darry answers and hangs up quickly.
"Come on!" he says, "it's Dally, he robbed a store and the cops are after him" He says
We run down the road, I look to see the love of my life on the ground. Darry runs up to him and checks for pulse,
"He's breathing" I run back to the house and get the car, I take Dally to the hospital.
