Situation Defused [Discontinued]

CH.1

-In an amusement park...

-"SKY GET OUT OF THERE!!!"

-"THERE'S ONLY A MINUTE LEFT, JUST RUN! YOU'RE LITERALLY THE ONLY ONE LEFT!"

-"Detonating in 3...2...1 BEEP

-In that moment, the bomb went off in the mostly empty amusement park.

-"Sky? Come in, Sky?!"

-*Hack!* *Cough* "Don't worry, I'm alive, barely."

-"That was a close call, the explosion must not have been big."

-"Yeah, well, it's a good thing no one got hurt. Can someone come get me?"

-"An ambulance has been dispatched towards your location, stay put, okay?"

-"Sure thing buddy."

-Sky hung up and pulled himself out of the hole he hid in. Dusting himself off, he surveyed the damage done in the amusement park. The bomb was placed on the underside of a Ferris wheel cart. When it exploded, it took parts of the ride with it. Debris had hit a few abandoned booths nearby, but overall, didn't do that much damage. 

-So much for a day off

-Sky sighed as he walked through the front entrance to the park, sirens could be heard in the distance, slowly growing closer. Within minutes, the ambulance arrived.

-"The blast radius was significantly smaller compared to the other 2 bombs, I doubt it's the same person."

-The room was bustling with activity as each person waited for the meeting to start. One of the few conversations that can be heard is between 2 'professional' bomb diffusers sent from Nilfheim as per request of the Atlassian government.

-"That still doesn't mean we can just cross it off our list, for all we know the perpetrator is trying to throw us all off"

-Jason, one of the 'professionals', sighed. "We're at the point where we can't cross anything off our list."

-"I still can't believe that happened on our day off, I wonder if the forensics team got anything." Harvey, commonly known as Seto, said.

-The door to the room opened, and Superintendent Ruiz walked in. 

-"I would like to have the attention of everyone gathered here." He announced. All chatter stopped and the mood grew serious. A pin could practically be heard in the room. Someone coughed and bent down to pick up said pin. 

-The superintendent continued. "Thank you, now I would like to address the bombing of the amusement park this afternoon around approximately 1:30. As of the moment, it appears as though that bombing was by a separate perpetrator. Video evidence revealed a park staff member being a potential suspect. And, as I assumed you have noticed, in comparison to the other incidents, the blast had only caused minor property damage contained within the park, none of the nearby buildings had been affected by it. As for any civilian casualties, the only person that had gotten injured only suffered minor scratches, as expected of a Nilfheim citizen"

-"Indeed, they're quite lucky for kids, one could say they've been blessed by angels." The ever so bitter, investigator Andrew Collins said, rather sarcastically.

-"It's the fault of your senator for being so unnecessarily rude to our allies, I'm glad that pervert got what he deserved, that sector was under the rule of an imbecile" 

-Ruiz stepped in. "Investigator Lowe, Investigator Collins, please keep your opinions to yourself."

-The meeting continued.

-"SKY!!!! WE'RE BACK!" Ty yelled loudly in the shared apartment. A mouth-watering fragrance wafted from the kitchen.

-Sky popped his head out the kitchen door, "Welcome back, how'd it go?"

-"Miserable, Investigator Collins still can't get over the fact that the 10:30 sector of Atlas had been under attack by a kid from Nilfheim." Mitch, who lives in the apartment next door, stated bluntly.

-"He definitely had some kind of hero worship for ex-senator Baron." Jason said, "That man was awful though, besides having a really big superiority complex, he really didn't care about maintaining good relations with Nilfheim, despite that fact that it's in the King's best interest."

-Sky came out of kitchen hold a plate of cookies.

-"Sounds rough", he stated, "Cookie?"

-One plate of cookies later, the group was playing video games in front of the TV.

-"So, Sky", Seto started, "How're you doing? I heard from the superintendent that you just escaped with with minor scratches"

-"I indeed did, minor surface wounds that include this." He rolled up his pants leg, revealing a white bandage wrapped around his calf. "That was just from me scraping my leg when I dove into a hole"

-"Any other person would've assumed you had surgery done or something" Seto stated, " Good thing it wasn't something that needed an operation."

-"I know, Hey Mitch, can you please stop throwing me off the edge in this game?" Ty jokingly asked.

-"Get better at Group beasties then" Mitch poked back. 

-The day continued just like that.
