March 7, 3:15 pm. Football Field.
"Alright, team! The game is about to start soon. You all remember the game plan right?" the football coach barked.
"Yes Coach!" everyone chanted in unison.
"Good job boys. Remember, this is the first game of the season. Don't disappoint everyone and WIN THAT GAME!"
The whole team roared in excitement, thirsty to bring another victory to the school.
Turning his head to the side, Jungkook smiled as he watched Y/N run off of the field as the cheer team finished pumping up the crowd. He jogged over to Y/N, slightly surprising her in the process.
"Jungkook? Aren't you supposed to be getting ready for the game?" Y/N asked. Jungkook gave a sheepish smile before holding out a water bottle for her.
"I brought this over for you," he said shyly, scratching the back of his head nervously.
"Thanks" she smiled while taking it.
Jungkook smiled in return and took a seat next to her on the bench.
"Are you ready for the game?"
"Yeah, I suppose," Jungkook said in a nervous tone.
Y/N could sense the nerves forming on Jungkook's face and placed a comforting hand on his back.
"Don't worry captain. You'll do just fine"
He couldn't help but grin at her encouraging words. Especially when the words "Captain" came from Y/N herself. That itself motivated Jungkook to win even more.
Just for Y/N.
Y/N tapped on Jungkook's shoulder before pointing in the direction of one of the bleachers. He turned to and faced the bleachers, only to see Karen giving him a nasty look before turning her attention to another football player from the rival school and kissing him roughly.
Jungkook couldn't help but scoff in disgust as he then turned his attention back to Y/N.
"What happened to you two?" she asked curiously.
Jungkook rolled his eyes sighed in annoyance.
"I ended my friendship with her" he admitted. Y/N's eyes widened as she looked between Karen and Jungkook. She couldn't help but feel as if this was her fault.
"Was it because of me? Jungkook you didn't have to do that I know you guys are friends-"
"Y/N stop. It was my decision to" Jungkook chuckled. He let out a deep sigh before continuing.
"I was blinded by our friendship. I felt so in debt with having to stay by her side when I didn't even realize the mistakes I was making. I realized how manipulative she was and just wanted to confront her about it, having an ounce of hope that she could maybe change. She got upset and left me in the dust" he said dryly.
