↝ jealously: prologue

jungkook: "babe can we talk?"

your boyfriend said, catching your attention.

since it was the weekend, both of you decided to relax and watch a movie, with your head on his lap, and his eyes on you.

you: "for sure, what's up?"

jungkook: "so, i've been thinking.. and i've decided that i wanna move to seoul and pursue music.."

he saw the terrified expression on your face but continued to speak.

jungkook: "and before you say anything, please hear me out, m'kay?"

you: "okay.."

jungkook: "you know that music's always been my dream, right?"

you nodded.

jungkook: "i've gotten permission from school and my parents to leave.. and well, accomplish it.. at first i wanted to leave busan with you, but i know that you value school a lot. more than i could ever value anything. so, i wanna make you a promise. when i get stable over there, i'll come back for you in about a month or two. and you can come and go to university in seoul and everything, alright? i'll make sure you become the lawyer you've always wanted to be.. i leave in two weeks."

you: "kook-ie.."

jungkook: "i promise."

you sighed, unsure of what to say or how to react.

he smiled brightly.

jungkook: "promise to stay single for me until i come back, alright?"

you: "i promise."

jungkook: "i promise too."

you both laughed.

our relationship would be fine, you thought.

oh, how wrong you were.

in just a month, jungkook had already moved to seoul, had already gotten accepted into a boy group, enough money to live off of, and had gotten a girlfriend. a new one.

you found out through social media; it was terrible. it was everywhere. you spent numerous nights crying to yourself to sleep. but you realized that with this heartbreak, you still had to move on, and focus on school.

this mentality did you good. you were able to pull through and graduate highschool with a 4.0 gpa. your parents granted you enough money to leave and study in seoul. you were excited and optimistic for the future.
