Chapter 1 :)

Sophie's POV

"So how did you and Louis first meet?" i heard Niall ask me with his thick accent.

i first met louis in year 5...

it was the first day of school for year 5. I had been put up 2 grades cuz i was a little smarty pants back then. We were all sitting down with our new pencils and books, showing them off to everyone. We didnt think there was any new kids this year until we heard a knock on the door. A small, skinny, good-looking boy walked in and we all started whispering about 'the new kid'. The teacher kept yelling at us for being rude and asked the boy what his name was. He was giggling from watching us get into trouble and then he said with a cheeky smile on his face,

'heeeey! I'm Louis 'the tommo' Tomlinson and i'm the new kid!"

We all started laughing and giggling to each other. From that day on he has been known as the class clown.

A few weeks had passed and by the looks of it Louis had fitted in perfectly. I was the only one in the class that hadnt talked to him yet. All the boys thought he was super cool and i think most of the girls had a crush on him. But I was to scared to talk to him. I was the small shy one no one would ever want to talk to or like. I thought Louis was the most amazing looking boy in the world, but I was just that girl no one talked to. One lunch I was sitting on the swings by myself, when Louis came over and started swinging on the swing next to me. All he said was,

"hey I'm Louis and I think your in my class but do you wanna me by partner in hide-and-seek?" he gave me a huge friendly smile.

"Okay! I love that game!" I replied back with a huge smile on my face. We walked over to where everyone was playing, side-by-side.The popular girls ran straight to Louis and kept asking to be his partner. He just kept saying; no. Sophie is my parnter. They all gave me this evil look and started chucking sand at me. I was almost crying but Louis grabbed my arm and we started running. It seemed like we where running for miles but we finally stopped at the end of the second oval. We started walking through a whole bunch of trees when we found an old tree house high up in a treeover in the back corner of the trees. Being the little 8 & 10 year olds that we were, we climbed the tree and decided that the tree house was going to be our secret hide out. Lou's exact words were;

"this tree house is going to be a hide out for just you and me cuz we are best friends now and if you tell anyone about this place your not allowed here anymore and if i tell anyone im not allowed here anymore." We made a deal by spitting on our hands then shaking each others hands. We spent every morning tea and every lunch there together, playing random games, talking about random stuff. We even started brining in stuff from home to decorate the place!

Year 8 finally came and Louis was the most popular kid in the grade. It was because of his amaaaaaazing looks and his absolutley beautiful voice. More people started liking me but I still wasnt as popular as Lou and I was sorta just known as his best friend. I didnt really mind though because he was the one person that had always stood by my side. Even in year 8 we still went to the tree house. But instead of playing games we just sang, Lou would bring his guitar and we would both sing. Turns out I could kinda sing! By the end of year 8 me and a girl called Tati became really close. Tati and Louis, my two bestfriends. By year 10 everyone was almost like forcing us to go out. They said we would be the cutest couple in the world. We did kinda consider it because I was kinda starting to like Louis more than my best friend. But nothing ever happened because we didnt want to risk our friendship. At the end of year 12 we said good bye to the tree house and hello to university. We were going to study music and creative arts, so we could open a music and drama school for kids. Before we even started university, someone had suggested that we audition for the x-factor UK together. Louis was pumped for the idea and started choosing songs for us immidiatly. But I couldnt do it. There was no way I could sing in front of that many people. I had never sang in front of more than 6 people! I eventually conviced Louis to audition by himself as long as no matter what happens we still stay best friends. I still remember that exact moment. He just gave me a massive hug and said "Tyla, you are the most amazing best friend i've ever had! No matter what happens you will always be my best friend."

He made it into boot camp but didnt make the final cut. He was so devastated that he wouldnt stop crying while i just hugged him for what seemed like hours. One of the producers came over to us and said Simon wants Louis back. There was a whole group of boys and girls that didnt make it through that came back. They called 5 boys name and 5 girls names. Louis was one of the boys that were called out. The 4 others were Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne. They were told to make a group or leave the comp. They obviously formed a group and Harry thought of the name 'One Direction' they made it all the way to the finals but placed 3rd.

All 5 of these boys were definanlty cuties, but one boy stood out to me the most. Niall, I dunno what it was, he just seemed really special to me.

Louis promised me that we would always be best friends and now I have 5 amazing best friends that are pratically my bothers<3
