Missing In Action 5

Start from the beginning

We stood silent for a minute. I felt the baby moved again.

"I felt it! I felt it!" Sky said excited.

"Oh my god that's the first time I've ever felt it moved." I said looking at my belly.

"I just wish Zayn was here for it." I said with a cracked voice.

"Aww, Perrie." Ness said.

I began to cry.

They all hugged me.

"I'm sorry I'm crying so much." I said wiping my tears.

"No it's okay. Crying is good." Danielle said.

"Maybe you need some rest." Sky said rubbing my back.

"Yeah it's been a long day." Ness said.

"Yeah you guys are probably right." I said.

"I think we're all going to bed." Danielle said.

*Next Day*

I walked in the clinic room. I took off my coat and walked to the window. I opened the curtains. The sky was dark and cloudy. I had no doubt that it was going to rain.

I walked away from the window. I went to the medicine cabinet and took out the medicine I needed for today.

The baby move again. I smiled. And put my hand on my belly.

"Where am I?" I heard someone say.

I turned around.

I saw the first soldier I took care of. He was sitting up in the bed. He was looking around confused.

I walked over to him.

"Just lay back. It's not good for you to be moving around like this." I said as he laid back down.

"W-what happened?" He asked.

"Another soldier brought you here to the hospital. You've been shot in the left leg and neck. I set you up for surgery." I said taking a needle from the tray.

I took his arm and lightly turned it over.

"What are you putting In me?" He asked snatching his arm away from me.

"It's pain medicine. Don't worry." I said.

"May I?" I asked holding my hand out for his arm.

He gave me his arm.

"Ok... You might feel a little pain in your leg and neck, but it won't be as bad." I said.

He nodded.

"I'll be back." I said walking to the three other patients I had.

I gave all of them pain medicine.

I went back to the first patient I had. I pulled the blanket away from his wounded leg.

"I'll have to change your bandages..." I said walking over to the cabinet and grabbing new bandages.

I walked over and pulled up a chair next to his bedside. I started to unwrap his bandage on his leg. He flinched a little.

"Is it bad?" He asked.

"It's looking better then I thought." I said dabbing a wet napkin around his wound, cleaning the dry blood.

He flinched again.

I looked at him.

"You alright there?" I asked continuing to clean it.

"Yeah. I'm good." He said.
