JAMES' POV
It was my dad. Shit. "Uhmmm..." I paused, quickly thinking of an excuse. "I was just swimming up to see if Hercules was there," I shrugged. "Mhm.. okay, I guess I'll believe you, since you know your brother is allowed to go there," he answered, then swam away. A sigh of relief escaped me. Waiting until my dad was out of sight, I smoothly swam up to the surface. Thomas wasn't there. Must be late? I decided to wait.
I ended up waiting a long time, so I sadly headed back down. Why isn't he there?
THOMAS' POV
I was at home, doing research on mermaids, and checked the time. Oh shit oh shit oh shit. It was two hours past the time I was supposed to meet up with James! I got so caught up, I hadn't even bothered to check the time! Racing over to the water as quickly as I could, I noticed that no one was there. "JAMES!" I yelled, hoping he'd hear me. I waited a few minutes, and came to the conclusion that we wouldn't see each other today. Hanging my head, I headed back home. Tomorrow. I'll see him.
