Chapter 27

Sarah's P.O.V.

Ryker was nervous. I could tell that much but before I could help him calm down he offered to take my father upstairs to talk in his office. I was left with my mom. Welp.

"Mom, would you like to see the kitchen? Maybe we could make something for the guys and then we'll break the big news to you."

"Yes, sweetie. But what will we make?" I didn't get any cinnamon rolls so I think those.

"Let's make cinnamon rolls!" I clapped my hands excitingly. I love baking with my mom!

Once we got into the kitchen I pulled out all the ingredients but my mom insisted that I relax while she makes them. I took the offer because I could feel my feet swelling up.

"Wait mo-" Does she know I'm pregnant?

"Yes, I know you're pregnant. Your feet are swelling so bad they look like your aunt Jenine when she got stung by a bee cause she's allergic. I can see your baby bump through your shirt. I'm guessing that Ryker boy is the father. And don't worry your father doesn't expect anything."

I just stared. She's amazing and I was wondering why she was so quiet too.

"You don't have to say anything sweetie just close your mouth so flys don't fly in." I clamped my mouth shut.

The next thing I know I'm carrying a plate full of cinnamon rolls towards Ryker's office room with my mom trailing behind me with her purse. She never goes anywhere without that thing. It's weird.

My mom sped ahead of me and opened the door for me halting their convo.

"We've got cinnamon rolls and news!"I could tell there was some tension in the room before we got here.

I set the plate down on Ryker's desk and sat in his lap as my mom sat in the chair next to my father.

"Ok, so Ryker and I have something to tell you. We're a couple and I'm pregnant!" My mom smiled her knowing smile while my father just stared. He's a retired cop so this is his suspicious face. Ryker said something that set him off. Great...

"Umm, dad? What do think about it?" Please don-

"That's great! I've wanted to be a grandfather for a while now. I was getting too old honestly."

I can never tell when he's joking or not so I look at my mother. All she did was nod and I knew he was telling the truth. I ran towards him but was immediately stopped by Ryker and my father.

"DONT RUN!" In unison, they yelled.

So I walked to my father and hugged him. I'm so glad my parents approve. Family is everything to me. Even if it's only four people I care about.

____After her parents leave____

"YOU GO SHAWN! GO HELP GUS!" I've been binge watching Psych and so far I'm on season 3 episode 8. Don't be amazed it has 8 seasons.

So Gus is being held hostage in a bank and Shawn is going to go inside. He actually is a really scared for Gus but he's a bit confused because Jules likes the head SWAT guy. Gosh, this is a really good show!

OMG! I just remembered in season 2 episode 7 when he was teaching a class and the really smart kid called him out. Shawn didn't like being called out so he sent him to the principal's office. That was a really good episode!

Ryker's P.O.V.

I think her parents liked me. I have to ask Sarah though. Walking into the room I find the tv on and Sarah sleeping. She's so beautiful even when she sleeps. Wow. Now I feel creepy.
