Weather Lawyer - A Dan and Phil AU

Chapter 1

"Gooood Morning England! Phil Lester here to give you your seven-day forecast on this lovely Monday morning! This week looks like it will be drizzly, typical UK, but it looks like we will get a break from the rain on Friday! That would be the perfect day to go out and explore our amazing country! That's all for now, and I'm going to hand it over to Susan with sports!"

Dan grabbed the remote and turned off the TV. He hated sports, and it was time for him to go to work anyways. He fed Suki, his Shiba Inu, before he left. As he grabbed his case, he gave Suki a quick pat and headed out the door.

To be honest, Dan didn't really like being a lawyer. He felt pressured that he had to do something in university, but he didn't really have any interests besides watching Youtube and playing Pokėmon. He settled for a law degree because he thought it would be easy. Thought. And now three years later, he's a lawyer living in London working for a law firm. 

As Dan took the underground to the law firm where he worked, he thought about what else he could be doing with his life. He had a small Youtube channel while he was in university, but didn't really have the confidence to continue with it. The thought of so many people watching him gave him the chills. And besides, he had been too busy with school work to make videos regularly. 

He arrived at his building and walked in the lobby. He smiled and waved at a few of his co-workers. He didn't really have any friends at work (he was pretty antisocial) but he did have one friend, who happened to be his best friend from university. His name was PJ. 

They had met online when Dan was still doing Youtube and found out they were at the same university and had the same major. In their second year, they rented an apartment together and finished university in the same year. 

After they graduated, they left the apartment and parted ways for a few years. Dan moved back with his parents looking for work, and PJ got hired at a law firm. 

After about a year, Dan finally got hired at a law firm. He moved back to London to a pet-friendly apartment. He packed his things, grabbed Suki, and moved out of his parent's house for the last time. 

When he went to the law firm where he was hired, his supervisor took him up to the office that he would be sharing with another lawyer. When he walked in and saw who he would be sharing with, he couldn't believe his eyes. Standing there was a tall man about his age with curly brown hair. He looked really similar to...

"PJ?!?", Dan asked. The man turned around. Standing there facing him were the familiar green eyes and circular glasses that he knew so well during university. 

"Dan, what are you doing here? Are you the new lawyer they hired??", exclaimed PJ, both surprised and happy at the same time. 

"Yeah! Guess we're gonna be office mates now, huh?"

They picked their friendship up right where it was left off from university. They were closer now than they ever were.
