Ushida POV
"I have finally arrived" I said to myself as I glance over the hill, seeing the sea and the town of Magnolia, my new home.
"Hurry up, Flame Brain" said a dark haired man, wearing nothing more than a pair of shorts.
I look down to the entrance of the town to find a small group of people, 'wizards' I think to myself.
"Strange they look distressed, wonder what they're worried about?" I said thinking out loud, as if he new one of the members, a man with spiky pink hair, turns away from the dark haired man and looks in my direction. He stays looking at me for a while until the dark haired man starts yelling at him. He turns back towards him and yells back. This continues until they are bumping heads with fists up ready to go, earning them a knock over the head from a woman with long red hair wearing.... a suit of armor? Now they are both on the floor grovelling in front of the red haired knight, as a girl with long blue hair in pig tails is just shaking her head in disappointment. The group then begins departing as the two boys rub their heads where they were hit.
"I have a bad feeling about this" I said following the group with my eyes.
*30 mins later*
After following them for about 30 minutes they stopped in front of an old building in the middle of the forest. As I stayed a good distance back, hidden within the trees. The spiky pink haired man whose name I now know as Natsu with flames around his fist, walked up to the door and punched it. Sending the huge double doors flying with an explosion, everyone in the group content with what just happened, starting walking in together along with Natsu who became extremely serious. Not long after they entered, a loud voice could be heard.
"GIVE HER BACK, GIVE LUCY BACK TO US!" it said sounding angry
Then I could hear explosions going off, as ice and flames began to spew out of the building. After a little more time, the group emerged from the building, a blonde haired girl walking with them
'I guess my feeling was ill-founded' I thought leaning with my back against a tree and a smirk tugging at my lips. Right as I finish the my thought I notice something forming behind the group. Using my speed I am able to appear behind the group in a split second, just in time to stop a blast of darkness that originated from within the building, using my hand like a sword and slicing the blast, nullifying it. The group of young wizards quickly turn around at the sound of what was happening behind them.
"Thanks" The blued haired girl named Wendy managed to say through the surprise
"Don't thank me yet" I said still facing the doorway with my hand outstretched to the side like a blade. I could tell all of the young wizards were surprised. I returned my outstretched right arm to my side and said "That was a pretty cowardly move" with venom dripping from every word.
"Ah and who might you be, child?" said a woman with raven black hair, a blue sleeveless crop top and a short blue skirt, as she appeared through the doorway from out of the darkness within the building.
"Some one who just happened to be walking by" I said with a playful smile on my face, as I moved my left hand to the back of my head and start scratching.
"You shouldn't demote yourself, It isn't an easy thing to nullify magic with nothing more than your hand" the lady said, curiosity in her voice.
"Thanks, but we should be getting back to business... Are you gonna hand yourself over?" I said loosing the playing smile and returning to my usual serious look.
"That is the problem with you children these days, you are so.... impatient" she said erupting into a maniacal laugh.
"No one ever picks the easy road anymore" I muttered to myself earning a few confused looks from the group of wizards behind me. "You know?" I asked the lady, receiving a wondering look from her. "There is a problem that both generations share" I said disappearing and reappearing in front of the Lady punching her in the stomach. "You never pick the smart option" I whispered into her ear as she fell onto my arm. I payed her gently on the ground of the building and made my way over to the group of young wizards
"Um.. Thanks, My name's Lucy" said the blonde haired girl.
"And my names Erza and that is Wendy, Natsu and Grey" Erza said pointing to each of them respectively
"And this is Happy and Carla" Natsu said pointing to the two floating cats.
"It's all good, but now I am late" I said as my eyesight fell to the floor, a depressed look on my face
"What are you late for?" asked Erza a little confused
"I was supposed to be meeting my new roommate an hour ago" I said with a little sadness in my voice
"Are you moving into Magnolia?" Natsu asked
"Yea I am supposed to be moving into an apartment on Bakers street" I said answering her question.
"Whaaaat? Your my new roommate?!" Lucy said almost screaming
"Oh.. so your that Lucy?" I asked with a playful smile and a neck scratch. "Well My name is Ushida"
"Hahaha, well it is nice to finally meet you" Lucy said with the same playful smile
"Hey I have an idea, why don't you join fairy tail?" Erza asked with her hand outstretched for me to take her hand.
"Join... 'Fairy tail'?" I ask contemplating what Erza had just said. "Okay" I responded, taking her hand in a firm handshake. I then turned back to Lucy. "So do you get kidnapped often?" I asked in a playful manner.
"Not normally but it has been happening more and more lately" Lucy said looking a little depressed.
"Don't worry if I am living with you I will make sure nothing happens to you" I said with a playful smile, trying cheer up the depressed blonde up.
