Her..

I woke up, stirring in an uncomfortable bed. I stirred again then opened my eyes with a groan to see an unusual view in an unusual room.

Where the hell am I? Oh, wait, that's right. Motel, broke up, cheated, new start, new place, new job. Job? Shit. I have an interview!

I looked for my cell phone quickly stumbling around as I got off the bed. I picked it up off the floor and looked at the clock. Nine thirty.

That's why I needed Matthew the most; to wake me up. I can't wake up on my own. I just keep going back to sleep. I mean, it's sleep, of course I'd choose it over anything else. That's why I'm not a morning person, and that's why I only have fifteen minutes to get ready.

I ran to my suitcases and took out a light pink silk shirt, with a gray pencil skirt and gray heels to match the gray clutch I chose. I ran to the bathroom, took a five minute shower and changed as fast as I could. Then, I ran back outside with my hair still wet to look for my hair dryer when my cell phone buzzed.

"Yes, George?" I picked up.

"I'm outside. Are you ready?" He sounded cheerful.

"What? I still have ten minutes!" I all but squeaked.

"No. It's nine forty five." He stated.

"No! It's still thirty five." I argued, waving my hand.

"No, it's not." He insisted.

"Dammit! I'll be out in a minute, just hold on." I sighed as I shoved my cell phone in the clutch as well as my wallet and the room's key, then I put on my heels, ran a comb through my wet hair, then ran out of the room to George's cab. After he greeted me, I tried to do anything to my hair but I couldn't since I didn't even have a bobby pin, so I just let it be.

We arrived at Parkers Corporation with only three minutes to spare. I got in the building after George wished me good luck and told me that he'd go look for an apartment near Williamson street as I told Mr. Peter, then he'll come back around a quarter to eleven to pick me up for my second interview. I got in and after a few minutes taking the elevator to the tenth floor, I finally arrived at a room where I was told to wait. A beautiful tall girl came by and asked me for my file, which I forgot...

How on earth can I forget my file? It has my CV, my contact information, my college degree, Mr. Peter's recommendation and even my notes. God, this isn't my lucky day. I'll just have to tell them what's in the file myself then. If they want I can go get it and come back tomorrow or something. So irresponsible, I feel like digging a hole and crawling inside it.

Nonetheless, I sat down on the comfortable sofa and noticed that there was only one other girl there.

She looks like a stripper, and believe me that's the best way I can put it. I'm not even judging, but that's not why we are here are we? No, of course not. Mr. Peter wouldn't dare.

She came sat next to me and introduced herself.

And, boy, I wish she hadn't...

Him..

I'm going insane. I am. It's like she fell from the surface of the earth. I looked for her everywhere last night. I went to the same bench we met at and looked around the near neighborhoods for hours but came back with nothing. No one knew her or could even give me a name. All I have is E.

I'm going nuts and everyone around me is noticing it. Jake believes I'm obsessed and I might be starting to believe it too. I haven't been able to focus on anything since I read the note she left me. I didn't hear a word in the meeting yesterday and I don't even know how the hell I am supposed to interview the interns in an hour.
