                                                                                         Luna

I was at my place trying to force myself to fall asleep, but no matter what I did sleep would not come. My brain would not shut off and let me get the rest that I needed. I shot up from where I was lying when I heard a noise from the living room. I quickly grabbed my small knives and walked out to see who was there. I don't know what I was expecting but it was not to see Matt standing there in his little costume.

"If you have a death wish keep sneaking up on me," I warned him.

"Why do you have so many different knives?" He asked in response.

"I like them," I answered as I walked over to him.

"What do you want Matt?" I asked him really wanting him and his problems to just go away.

"I need your help." He answered and I instantly knew he was finally going to admit he was in over his head.

"With what?" I asked him hoping he would say something that did not evolve the Russians.

"I want to stake out the Russians." He answered.

"And why do I need to be there for that?" I snapped at him and felt guilty for it instantly.

"In case it goes south. I thought you wanted to help. No... if I remember correctly you insisted." He snapped back.

"It's just after what happened with Claire maybe we should back off a little. At least for a little while." I told him really hoping he would just drop this, but I knew he wouldn't.

"You know I cant do that. Their spirling form the pressure. We have to keep pressing them. We have to find out who Vladimir is." He said stopping my heart for a second.

"Who is Vladimir?" I asked needing to know what it was he thought he knew.

"I'm not sure exactly but I'm guessing someone really high up with the Russians. Claire said that one of the men who kidnapped her said his name and the other man looked scared." He answered.

"I don't know Matt. This is getting out of control." I said as I was truly lost as to what I should do.

"Look I'm going with our without you. I just thought you would want to help." He said as he turned to walk away.

After everything that happened I knew I could not let him face Vlad alone. If they came face to face Vlad would kill him for what he thought he did to his brother.

"Wait for Matt, give me a minute to get dressed," I told him and he nodded in response then walked over to look out the window.

Sometime later I found myself standing next to Matt on a rooftop watching one of Vlad's warehouses. It felt wrong, even though what we were doing wasn't wrong. I had to remind myself over and over again that Vlad is a bad guy, and Matt's right he needs to be stopped. I hated to admit it to myself but I didn't want to stop him. I had not realized until I was in the same room as him again how much I missed him. I also knew that I would do anything to keep Matt safe, he was more than some guy I had feelings for he's my brother, his family.

I hoped that nothing would happen tonight but all hopes left when a taxi pulled up and two men with a big bag in hand climbed out. They two of them left one man in the back seat. He was singing. The men came back out of the warehouse only a few minutes later. Before I could even decide what I was going to do Matt jumped down off the roof. He landed a kick on one of there faces. I rolled my eyes before leaping down myself.

The other man ran at me deciding a girl must be an easier target. He tried to hit me but I ducked out of the way. As I came back up I punched him in the face instead. I looked over at Matt to see that he had kicked the first guy in my direction. I leaped up from where I was and wrapped my whip around his neck, choking him as I spun around landing in front of him then landed a roundhouse kick to his face. I let for of the whip and let him fall to the ground. But before he could even get there Matt did one of his fancy ass spin kicks and kicked him again.

The second guy got back up and Matt easily punched him breaking his nose. Then quickly hit him in the neck then chest. The man tried to elbow Matt but he easily ducked out of the way than in response elbowed him in the chest again. Just when those two where handled two more men ran out of the warehouse. Matt grabbed my hand and pulled me around to the other side of the car just in time. The other men opened fire, Matt opened the car door to take most of the bullets and we ran out of the way.

The men approached and looked inside the car then under it as if they could not figure out where we had gone. Matt rolled out from behind the dumpster we were hiding behind and grabbed one of the men by the face before pulling the gun out of his hand. He threw the gun out of view. He turned around to find the second man had a gun pointed at him. before either of them could react I jumped down from the fire escape, landing on top of him. We both fell to the ground, I landed hard. I realized I may have hurt myself more than him because the man easily got up as I struggled to move from where I landed.

I watched as Matt grabbed the front of the man's gun pulling it away from him and tossed it to the side like the other. He then hit him again giving me enough time to push myself up off the ground. As I got up I watched Matt run and leap over the hood of the car kicking one of the men. I ran over as I watched the man reach for his gun kicking him in the ribs then kicked the gun further away from us so he could not use it on either of us. I ran over and kneed the last man in the face knocking him out. Matt was quickly at my side to catch me as I was not able to put wait on my left ankle. I had really hurt it when I jumped from the fire escape. He helped me over and leaned me against the cab before making his way over to the one man who was still conscious.

"Wheres Vladimir?" He yelled as he stood over the man.

"Please no!" The other man yelled back as he tried to block Matts punch to the face with no luck.

"Vladimir! Where is he!" Matt yelled again.

"I'd answer if it was you," I told the man from where I was propped up against the cab.

"Please, I'll tell you what you want. Just don't cut off my head." He said to Matt and I could not help but feel guilty for not telling Matt what the Russians think he did.

"Excuse me?" I asked pretending to be surprised.

"What are you talking about?" Matt asked him.

"Vladimir's brother. Everyone knows you took his head." He answered.

"Duck is there something you need to tell me?" I asked Matt as I continued to pretend like I had no idea what was going on.

He did not have time to answer because a police car with its sirens and lights on came speeding down the alleyway.

"Shit," I said as I watched Matt easily run up the wall and had to struggle to follow after him.

"Be advised there on foot. On route to the 15th." The cop said into his walkie.

"Are you okay?" Matt asked once we were safely away from the crime scene.

"Yeah, I'm fine it's just a sprain. I'll be better in no time." I answered him.

"Did you hear what he said?" He asked me.

"Yeah, I did," I answered him.

"They think I decapitated Vladimir's brother. I don't even know who Vladimir's brother is." He told me.

"I know, I know that you did not kill him but obviously someone wants them to think you did," I told him.

"Let's just get out of here, so I can take a real look at your ankle." He responded.

"My ankle is fine," I told him as I got up and limped after him.
