Chapter Eighteen: Those Ocean Eyes

*ALI'S POV*

It is now currently 1am and everyone is still awake, as for me, I️ am literally falling asleep on the couch now.

Mostly everyone has gone home, now it's just me, Sam and Kat, Corey and Devyn, Elton and Amanda, Aaron, and Colby.

I️ rubbed my eyes, trying to rub away the sleep that was about to take over me. Unfortunately, it didn't work.

"I️ think I'm gonna head up to my room guys, jet lag is hitting me bad." I️ said, standing up from the couch.

I've been awake for almost 24 hours. I️ took a little nap on the plane, but that isn't helping me out now.

Everyone yelled goodnight to me as I️ forced myself up the stairs. I️ cannot wait to lay down on a bed I️ said in my mind.

I️ opened the door, ran, and flopped down on the bed. I️ could fall asleep just like this. But I️ have to get out of these uncomfortable clothes before I do that.

I️ unzipped one of my suitcases that had my clothes in it and dug through until I️ found an old concert t-shirt and a pair of comfy shorts.

I️ quickly took off my clothes and threw on the outfit I️ had chosen. So comfy.

I️ went to my bathroom where my suitcase of toiletries was and dug around until I found my makeup remover and a hair elastic.

I️ wiped off the little amount of makeup I️ was wearing and put my hair in a messy bun before washing my face.

I️ took out a blanket from one of my suitcases and finally got into bed. I️ plugged my phone into the charger and turned on some music, letting sleep slowly take over my body.

*COLBY'S POV*

"Colby, you cannot say that you don't like her, you were all over her tonight!" Devyn said excitedly.

"Yea dude, and she was all over you." Corey agreed.

"Okay! I️ like her, but I️ can't do anything about it now. She just moved in, I️ don't wanna bombard her with too many new things." I️ said, fidgeting my hands.

"You guys would be so cute together, she's so pretty." Kat said as she cuddled into Sam.

I'm the only lonely one here. Corey has Devyn, Sam has Kat, Elton has Amanda, and Aaron has Buddy. I️ know Buddy's just a dog, but it's more than I️ have.

Maybe I️ should ask her out soon, it wouldn't hurt to ask.

She looked beautiful today, when she got here, she was wearing a white tank top under a purple hoodie, and black leggings with her white converse. Her hair was in its usual messy bun, but she was still beautiful.

When she came back downstairs from her room, she had changed into a green and white crop top that said "Los Angeles" across it in cursive, she said that she got it just for today, and a pair of denim shorts.

Now that she was actually here and living with us, it's unbelievable. It still feels like a dream.

I️ never would've imagined meeting a girl in a foreign country, falling in love with her in less than 24 hours, and convincing her to move to a different country with me. It sounds like some sort of crazy story.

But this is my life.

My life is just one giant crazy story. I️ mean, I'm not mad about it. I️ love my friends, I️ love my job, I️ love my life.

"I'm gonna head up to bed, I️ didn't get much sleep last night." I️ said, leaving the group. I️ walked up the stairs to my room, hearing light breathing sounds coming from the room next to mine.

The door was cracked open a little bit, so being the nosy person I️ am, I️ peeked my head into the room.

There she laid, cuddling with her blanket. She stirred in her sleep, making me jump. I️ quietly closed the door, leaving her in peace.

I️ got to my room and sat at my desk, running my hands through my messy hair.

Now that I'm actually in my room, I️ can't sleep. Why does this always happen?

*ALI'S POV*

I️ tossed and turned around in the bed, unfamiliar of how squishy the mattress is. My mattress back in the Netherlands was hard as a rock. I️ got used to it though, which is why now I'm having a hard time sleeping.

I️ sat up and grabbed my phone from the other side of the bed.

5:03am

I️ got about 4 hours of sleep. Not enough to get through a day, but just enough to get me going until I get coffee into my system.

I got up from my bed and went to the bathroom to pee, since is that not what practically everyone does when they wake up.

As I️ entered the dark bathroom, I️ completely forgot that I️ had a large suitcase on the floor and I️ tripped on it, making a loud banging noise.

Shit, I️ probably just woke up everyone.

I️ peed and then got back into the warm bed, tossing and turning again until I️ finally gave up. I️ grabbed my laptop from my backpack I️ had on the flight with me and flipped it open.

The bright screen practically blinded me, since my eyes had finally adjusted to the darkness. I️ typed in my password and went onto YouTube.

I️ first checked my subscriber count, which has sufficiently been going up daily. Around last week I️ was at 600 subscribers and now I'm almost at 1,000. I️ can't wait to hit 1,000, that's like one of the first huge milestones a wannabe YouTuber can make.

I then checked the views on my few videos that I️ have uploaded. It's not much, but it's definitely more than it's been in a while.

I surfed the internet for a little bit, before I heard a light knocking at my door.

"Come in," I whispered, I didn't wanna wake the rest of the house since I had already woken up someone.

And in the doorway were those bright blue eyes I've found myself to love. And damn, he was shirtless.
