On the Sidewalk, Waiting for my Guy.

It all started when I walked out of Starbucks. I had my favorite kind of coffee: A medium white mocha Frappucino. I was looking down at my phone, don't ask. My extroverted-to-the-extreme best friend Lily was telling me about her new celebrity crush and how she would most definitley meet him someday. I was laughing at her. I mean, come on. He may live in Hollywood or in the surrounding area, but the chances are slim. He would probably be skateboarding or something. Huh. Funny thought. Lily doesn't like skateboarding. How would she be interested in-

Then I bumped into something solid. My coffee sloshed all over me. I fell to the ground. I was ticked.

"Hey man, what's your-" I looked up. A guy wearing a shirt that proclaimed 'Young and Restless' had my frappucino all over it. The man was silent. "Oh," I said quietly. "I'm sorry."

The guy smiled. "It's no biggy," He said softly. I was still on the sidewalk, seeming to ignore the fact that my blue plaid shirt was covered in coffee, along with my skinny jeans. "Do you want help up?"

"Uh, sure." He held out his hand. I grabbed and and pulled myself up. I felt myself blushing. I looked down at my blue vans.

"What's your name?" He asked, grinning. His teeth were really white.

"Libby Watson." I said as I pulled my blue hat off my head, smoothed my brunette locks, and put my hat back on. "You?"

"Chris." He said. "Well it seems you're alright. I hope I'll see you again, Libby Watson." He turned around, then turned around again to face me. "Oh," He smiled. His teeth. Again. I couldn't help but stare at them. "Could I have your number? I couldn't help but notice your lovely iPhone."

"Uh, sure. It's..."

"Thanks. I'll text you sometime." I watched him walk away, his white-teeth smile and all.

~Day 1~

Everytime my phone rang, my heart leaped a little excited leap. But it was never the mysterious Chris. It was Lily, with her Rob Dyrdek obsession or my other best friend and fellow skateboarder Ray, texting me about this 'sick new move' he learned over the weekend which I would reply with 'You've told me about this same move [blank] times.'

~Week 1~

He still hadn't texted me. I was beginning to feel desperate. I wanted Chris to text me! I ate some cheesy puffs to calm my nerves. I watched a Very Potter Musical. I still didn't know how to tame the part of me that yearned for Chris to text me. I called Ray and complained to him.

"Rayy.." I complained.

"What is it this time, Lib." It wasn't a question. It was a statement.

"Chris still hasn't texted me!"

"Ugh... Call Lily or something."

"All she'll talk about is Rob Dyrdek!"

I heard silence on Ray's end. "Hey Lib?"

"Yeah?'

"..... Nevermind."

"What were you gonna say?"

Ray hung up. I frowned.

~1 month later~

I was sleeping this morning until my phone rang. "Back Home" by Gym Class Heroes blared from my iPhone.

"Urgh." I moaned. "Back Home" blared again. And again. And again. And aga-

I grabbed my phone. Two texts were from Lily, talking about how she saw Rob Dyrdek walking past her as she was on her morning run. Well, not really talking. It was more like: AHHHHH!!! I SAW ROB DYRDEK ON MY RUN HE WAS JUST WALKING ALONG AND I WAS ALL KIND OF SWEATY AND HE WAS SO CUTE!

The next text puzzled me. It was an unknown number. The text just read Hey.

I texted the person back. Who is this?

I supose I should have told you who I was.

Uh, yeah.

So... It's Chris.
