#4 You Say 'I Love You' For The First Time

You were at home with your best friend. You were so happy because your boyfriend Niall was coming in 3 days to stay with you for the next couple of weeks before he goes on tour. You FaceTimed almost every night and you knew you for falling hard for him.

Niall's POV: I'm so excited to surprise y/n today! She thinks I'm coming in 3 days when really I'm at the airport in her hometown waiting for y/bff/n to pick me up and drive me to her house to surprise her.

You were sitting in your bedroom, submitting an assignment to your professor online when you saw y/bff/n at your door.
"That was a long trip to the grocery store," you said.
"Yeah sorry, there was a lot of traffic. Have you handed in your assignment?"
"Yep! I just did it. Now I'm free!"
"I'm glad you say that because I happened to find something at the grocery store that I think will get you an even better mood."
You gave her a puzzled look but followed her to the kitchen anyways.

You made your way down the stairs and paused when you reached the bottom. You could easily recognize who that was from the back before he even turned around. Then he turned to face you and you ran up to him jumping into his arms as he chuckled.

"Niall! You said you were coming on Sunday!"
"Yeah, I know, but I wanted to surprise you.. and spend more time with you."
You grabbed his face and kissed him.
"Ah, I've missed those," he confessed.

Niall told you that he planned a little picnic in the park. So that's exactly where the two of you spent the rest of your day.

When  you arrived at the park Niall placed a blanket down on the grass which the two of you sat on. You both demolished all the food that was packed. He told you all the stuff about his time in L.A. that he forgot to mention on Facetime and you filled him in on everything that happened in your life since he left.

It was now night time and you were lying down with your head on Niall's chest as he stroked your arm. You both fell silent as you looked up at the stars. You knew you were falling in love with Niall very quickly.

"Y/n?" Niall asked, interrupting your thoughts.
"Yeah Ni?"
"I need to, uh, tell you something. I've been feeling like this for a while now but I feel like if I don't say it now, it will come out of me at a wrong time."
"What is it Niall?" You pushed.
"I love you... Like I'm in love with you and I think I've been in love with you from the very moment I laid eyes on you."
"Niall.." you started, turning over towards him so that your faces were close.
"Yeah?"
"I wanted to say it first."
He chuckled as he pulled you into a kiss with him.
"I love you too Niall."
