Beam Me Up - Pink

Harry-

Coming home from our lunch date I was the happiest I had been in a long time, I felt like everything was coming back together. Maybe a little better then before too, once we were together it was completely. I mean we had sex and she moved in the next day to get away from her family, maybe it's good for us to take it slow and get to know each other again.

I had some showings at the gallery set up for the next day and Sara said she wouldn't be free until after Friday which was a few days away. I tried to keep myself busy until then, I realize I know little about her life here. What she does out of school, is she has a job....

Who her husband is.

Yea, I'd really like to know that one but I won't push it. I can't risk scaring her off, I can't lose her again.

Friday finally came but I decided to stay quiet and see if she reached out to me, she did say after friday after all. It's a rainy summer day so I decided to bag out my camera and take some photos, I found a trail from my place that leads up to the New Brighton cliffs that make for some beautiful panoramic photos.

"They said there may be a lightning storm tonight." A blonde female photographer says as she walks up next to me and snaps away, "The best place to catch it is on the beach." She adds.

"That's cool." I shrug as I continue to shoot a very specific shot, my camera is set up on my tripod and I have the lens wide open to show the suns slight movements in the vivid sky.

"I'm Lea." She says as she holds out her hand.

"Harry," I nod before going back to my camera.

"Maybe I'll see you there?" She purrs as she brushes against me causing me to knock into my tripod and completely fucking the shot I was on.

"Probably not." I mumble as I pack up my gear and go to head back down the trail.

"I'm sorry, let me make it up to you." She pleads and I mentally roll my eyes.

"Listen Lea, all I wanted was to get the shot you just completely fucked up. I'm not interested in going down to the beach and I'm definitely not interested in you." I snap, her eyes widen and I turn before walking back the way I came.

By the time I head back home the sun was setting, the rain had stopped and the sky was beautiful. My mum had dinner set out when I walked in from the beach, after taking off my rain gear i set down my camera and sit down.

"You're not eating with me mum?" I ask furrowing my brows seeing one plate on the table.

"Louisa is coming into town sweety remember? I'm going to pick her up at the airport and then stay with her at this little cottage out in Carmel." she reminds me and I nod.

"Just be careful, call me if you need anything." I say as she kisses my cheek.

"Of course sweety." She says before she walks out the door.

I was famished so I tuck into the amazing dinner she had made along with my favorite peach cobbler for desert, after 10 I hadn't heard from Sara so I cracked open a beer before sitting down and watching some TV. Soon loud thunder began to sound and I look out to see some crazy looking lightning, I quickly grab my camera gear and run out to the beach before setting up the tripod to record the amazing lightning show. I wish I knew what house Sara lived in, she would love this.

"Fancy seeing you here." Her melodious voice sounds from behind me, I set my camera to record the lightning then turn towards my girl who is standing there with two glasses of wine. I take a sip and savor the light, crisp white wine that tastes vaguely familiar. "It's the same wine you had introduced me to in Tahoe, I always keep a bottle around when I want to remember that amazing trip." She whispers and I smile before wrapping an arm around her.
