Emotionless chapter 1

Rylee’s POV

 

~~8 years later ~~

"oh, what's the mannequin doing here?" Clarissa sneered at me. I ignored her and walk away. All the pack members called mannequin because I show no emotion. Like I care.

"Don't you dare ignore me," Clarissa screamed and I saw her lunged at me. She grabbed my hair and dragged me to the living room. In the living room she then let go of my hair harshly that my head hit the table and blood then ooze out from my forehead.

"T-That'll teach you," She said but I can sense nervousness from her voice. Scared that she wounded my forehead, what a coward. I stood up slowly and exit the living room.

"Oh My GOSH!! A walking ghost," Bea shouted. That made the others laugh.

"So who did it this time," She asked sarcastically. She get  annoyed when I didn't answer. She grabbed my wrist tightly  and threw me to the wall.

"I can see why you always look like that," She said and left. I sat down slowly, my back still against the wall. I think I broke a spine. I saw my other pack members looking at me with hatred on their eyes. Why? I don't know. I don't even remember doing something to them. I watched as the others left one by one. I can't stand because I broke a spine but it'll heal later.

"Rylee what are you doing here?" Wendy asked as she help me stand up. "Who did this?"

I shook my head coz' I know she's going to confront them and I don't ant the others to hate her. Wendy is my only friend in the pack, she's the daughter if the beta which makes her superior than others. I don't want others to disrespect her especially she's going to be a future beta female.

I know there's no way they're going to disrespect her as her father is the beta, but  the truth is, they aren't really the real one. My father is the alpha of the pack and my mother is the alpha female, but when they died ten years ago everything changed. My father's  beta become the alpha and since Wendy's parents is the second  of command of the new alpha they become the new beta.

Everything changed after that incident ten years ago. I think the pack members with the  same age of me or is younger than me doesn't know I'm the daughter of  the real alpha of the pack. I wonder what are they going to do when they found out. Will the way they treat me change?

"Rylee.... You know I can't protect you always right? So, you must do everything you can to protect yourself," Wendy said."I can't control them with my voice because I don't have a real alpha blood. They just respect me because of my parents, you know that. So please,"

"I get it," I said. Wendy is one of the people who knows that I'm the real alpha's daughter, but she couldn't tell anyone else because her family might  disowned her. Wendy sighed and looked at me.

"I'm not angry or anything," Wendy smiled as she lead me towards my room. "I got to go, my  mom needs me. Don't worry I'll bring your dinner for tonight," She said before she left.

I went inside my room and closed the door slowly. I walked towards my bed and open the window  beside it. Fresh air brushed gently against my skin. I hope its like this everyday. I touched my  back gently to see if my spine is alright. Fortunately, it is. I've been enduring the pain  since awhile ago because I don't want Wendy to know that someone broke my spine, and if by any chance she found out, it  means war.

I took a loose plain white shirt from my dresser and a knee-length shorts. I then lay on my bed and stared at the trees from the  open window.  On the tree, I saw two birds carrying worms and feed it to the two chicks on the nest. That's exactly my situation before my parents died. They always take care of me and my twin brother who disappeared on the car accident, mysteriously.

Flashback of what happened ten years ago suddenly appeared. The doctor said they will look for him but they didn't. Lies. The new alpha said he will take care of me, look at me now. Lies. Lies. Lies. I'm tired of it. I watched a the two parents bird flew to my window @@@. Mate. I wonder who is my mate? He's certainly not from this pack because I've met everyone.  My parents told me that your mate will love you and treasure you. Oh, how I want to have those kind of feelings. I wonder how he looks like.

I saw the two birds flew to their two chicks. They will be like that at first, but they're going to live you someday. The two chicks will need to go separate ways. Why? That's how God made them. I closed my eyes and lay my head on my soft purple pillow. God, if you can hear me right now tell me what I'm supposed to do.

I opened my eyes slowly and sat down on my bed. The only thing I can do is to trust him. I'm kind of crazy because I worship him instead of the moon goddess. I don't know why but he seems gave me courage. I lose hope worshipping the moon goddess. Why? Because she made me like this. Even if I don't know if he really exist, at least I can talk to someone.

'I need air,' My wolf told me. She only talked once in awhile because she's angry with me that I never stood up for my self and I'm allowing the others to hurt  their alpha. I obeyed her and headed to the pack garden.

The smell of the grass  is the  first thing that hit me. The  gush of the wind that brush against my skin gently and the scent of the flowers that  remove  ally your sadness. This place is my favorite place in the whole pack house. Quiet. Beautiful.

'Satisfied?' I asked my wolf. She didn't answer, but I can feel that  she's happy. Seems that this is also her favorite place in the whole pack house. When its  getting  dark I headed back to my room when I suddenly heard Brittany and her friends talking.

"What do you think I should wear tonight?" She asked the others. Brittany is the pack slut.

"You need to look sexy to lure the alpha," Nikki sugested. Nikki is Brittany's second in command. If you saw Brittany somewhere expect that Nikki is there too. Wait, what do they  mean by lure the alpha. The alpha has a mate now and he's pretty old for Brittany.... Oh, his son is arriving from Australia. So that must be it, his son is probably 18 right now and is ready to take over the pack. So that's what she meant by lure the alpha. She's really a slut.

I'm about to leave not until she noticed me. How unlucky I am. I saw her looked at me with a scowl on her face.

"Do not leave your room tonight, he's mine!" Brittany growled at me. The others looked at her and I saw the alpha and the beta not far away, looking at our direction. "Remember  that," She added, glaring at me.

I didn't answer and just stare at her. Why waste breath to answer her. The felt the wind brushing my skin. The window is open. The other's hair is pretty messed up. My hair covered my face so I gently remove it. I saw Brittany's eyes widened when I did that. Why?  Like I would know.

"ITS BECAUSE YOU HAVE THIS FACE!!!!!" She screamed as she yanked my hair. She read my mind, i think. "WHY THE HEL DO YOU HAVE THIS KIND OF FACE AND NOT ME!!!!"

Jealousy. She threw me on the ground and began to kick me. I saw her grabbed a sharp silver thing that made the others gasped.

"You will regret having that kind of face," She gnarled at me. Psycho. She raised her right hand with the sharp silver thing , about to hit me. Did I let her? No.

"Don't you dare," I told her with my alpha voice. "You aren't allowed to touch me or anything,"

My voice is still emotionless but it indeed worked. I saw her  step back , scared and she looked down. I let them  kick me or slap me. The bruise will heal, but I will never let them injure my face with a silver thing. This face doesn't only belong to me. I touched my face gently.

"Brittany stop this at once," The alpha said as he come near us. Brittany  bowed and glared at me before she left.

I stood up slowly to go to my room but the alpha suddenly called me.

"Rylee, you may want to join us for the celebration of the arrival of my son, the future alpha," He told me. I saw the others with a shock on their faces so I ignored his words and continued   to walk away.

"I'm ordering you to come, as your alpha," He said sharply. I turn back and looked at him.

'But you aren't the real alpha,' I told him through our mind link, blocking the others. I saw his eyes widened and look down. This pack is not yours, so don't act like its yours. I want to tell him that but I couldn't.

The moment I reached my bedroom, I immediately lay down on my bed not caring if my clothes is dirty. I just want to sleep and  rest. I heard some nose outside, so the alpha's son must be here now.

I went out my room to see what he looks like. I'm not interested on him or anything, I just want to know how the one who's going to take over the pack looks like.

I don't need to go down because I can see him from in front of my room. Pretty convenient. I looked for him when suddenly my eyes brought me to one place. Mate. His eyes locked from mine as  if he's looking into my soul. I snapped back and return to reality. I saw him staring at me with love in his eyes. My wolf purred with happiness. We don't care if he's the future alpha, I want him. He's mine.

Those thought suddenly disappeared when I saw Brittany clinging into him. I let out a growl that made the others look for where  it came from, but they just ignored it and return their attention the the future alpha. I saw him touched Brittany's should. Why is he doing that? I'm here his mate.

I went down ready to kill Brittany when suddenly I saw, Jace. Wendy's cousin. Like Wendy, he treats me nicely. Believe it or not I fell in love with him in the past.

"Watcha doing here?" Jace asked playfully while handing me over a cup of orange juice.

"Nothing," I replied. I don't want anyone to know that the future alpha is my mate, yet.

"Doesn't seem nothing to me," He grinned. I saw Wendy coming to our direction with a frown on her face.

"What are you doing to her Jace?" She asked as she grabbed my wrist.

He srugged and walk away. Wendy glared at him and looked at me. "Did he do something to you huh??"

"No he didn't. We just had a short conversation," I assured her. I seriously want to laugh but my laughter doesn't want to come out.

She sighed and smiled. "I'll get you something to it," She said and I nodded. While waiting for her I saw my mate with Brittany clinging at him, pressing her breast against his arm. I seriously want to rip her  heads off and my  wolf seems to agree with it. When Brittany noticed me her eyes flashed  with anger and hatred.

'Go away. Go back to your room,' She  said through our mind link, blocking the others. Still, I did nothing and just stare at my mate who is also staring at me. That angered her more  so she tackled me against the wall. Broke another spine. She grabbed my jaw forcing me to look at her.

"This will teach you a lesson for not following me," She screamed. Why would I follow her? Does she  think she's already the alpha female when she can cling to my mate like that? I saw the others gather  around and I saw my mate grabbed Brittany's arm.

"Mate, stop that," He whispered to her. That calms down Brittany who turned to my mate and kissed him.

"My son found his mate," The old alpha announced which made the others cheered. I saw Wendy with a horrified look in her eyes. She then called Jace. The old alpha [Also known as old Alpha Emerson] went near me, but I stopped  him with just one look. I don't want him to touch me.

I saw Jace brought me into his arms. "Where are you bringing her?" The old alpha Emerson said.

"To her room? I can't just  leave her  alone like this, can I? Besides she hates the smell of a slut, so I'll give her a shower," He replied looking at Brittany.

"Give her a shower? Wha--" The beta said but was interrupted by Wendy.

"Its not like that dad," Wendy said as she elbowed Jace. " He's just kidding, and I'm the one who's gonna help her and not this idiot," Wendy glared at Jace. The old alpha and beta sighed in relief.

"Just bring me to my room," I told Jace.

"Right away," He whispered gently, but I can sense anger on his voice.
