~Michael pov~
Sydney Australia, new year, new everything. I was happy to finally be away from the shit hole i once knew and hated. I take in deep breath and let a small smile form on my pale and scruffy face. Tomorrow i start a new school and i was so happy to start fresh and make new friends and get away from all the bad that has happened in my life.
"Well honey what do you think" my mom shuts the door of her van, and puts her arm around my waist. A true smile form on my lips for the first time in a really long time " Mom i really like so far " i tell her with my arm wrapped around her shoulders.
"Lets go explore" she giggles a little, i smile and nod as we walk along the sidewalk. There was so much here, and it was so beautiful and peaceful. The warm sun brushing my face, a slight breeze in the air. I sigh contently as my mom finds an old cafe that was very rustic and cute.
We walk in being greeted with the smell of hot coffee, and freshly made muffins. She orders while i look around the small cafe, 3 teens around my age sitting at a table, laughing, poking fun at each other, and just being there in the moment.
The girl sitting at the table catches my stare and gives me a soft smile, i laugh a little and wave. I was so embarrassed to be caught staring at her and her friends, a blush rising on my cheeks as i brush my longish blonde hair in front of my face.
Mom hands me my coffee and takes hers, she pushes me lightly to sit down. Of course right next to the girl and her friends. Her features were so soft, light brown curly hair that cascaded down her cheeks, and framed her pale face, and these brown eyes that were just so kind and almost a slight golden color.
She smiles at me again "Hi" she mouthes, "hi" i mouth back to her. My mom sitting at a table in the very back, we chat and drink our coffee before heading out, but just my luck the girl from before stands and turns. The little bit of coffee left in my cup spilled on her. A stain forming on her band t-shirt.
"Oh god im so so sorry" i stumble on my words with a small uncomfortable laugh. She giggles, wiping the spill "its alright, its an old shirt anyway" her slight australian accent coming through. She wipes it with some napkins " um your cool trust me its an old shirt" she was very polite but also had this bad ass adititude about her.
"Im michael" i give her my hand and smile at her, a gentle touch with a sweet smile " cassidy, and this is luke and ashton" she points to her friends. Ashton, very sweet looking, long chestnut brown curly hair, and soft hazel eyes, and a kind smile.
Then luke, fair skin , bright blue eyes filled with happiness and life. His hair quiffed up. A true smile appearing on his face " Hey guys" i wave and smile kindly at the two boys. Luke turns to the door when the bells chime " oh look who finally showed up" he pushes the shoulder of another boy "michael this is calum" cassidy smiles and points to the boy.
His skin was so soft looking with a natural tan look to it, with a few tattoos dotted round on his arms. A soft cheeky smile, his brown eyes looking into my grey-green orbs "whats up dude" he sticks his hand out to me, i take it and smile "Hey" i smile to him, his hands going to fix his almisy curly black hair. Man im starting to love this city. Oh did i forget, silly me.
Im gay.
