The Alpha's Human

Chapter 1

"Please come! You have to!" Begged Suzy, my coworker in the lunch hour.

"Why do I have to really? I'm fine being at home on the weekend." I asked her, starting to get annoyed with her persistence. "And you know that Fridays are the worst days here in the lab."

"Firstly you've been here for three whole months and you never went out once! You still don't know how the night is here."  Suzy objected while I stuffed my mouth with pasta heated in the microwave. "And second of all, it's the second time I will meet Josh and he told me to bring a friend. And since all my other friends are dating or seeing someone, you're my only option."

"I really don't know Suzy, I like being alone at home...."

"Please Sophie, pleaseeeee!!!" She got down on her knees near me making a face that looks like she is about to cry. "If you do this for me, I will own you one, no questions asked. Please...." She made me a puppy face that I couldn't resist.

"Ugh, fine... I'll go." 

"YES!" She jumped out and started to hug me. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm so excited. We should go to the mall later to buy something to wear." 

"I just have one condition, no high heels." I said.

"Fine, but you would look great in ones." She said winking me and sat down to eat the rest of her lunch.

Friday came quickly and at the end of work, Suzy gave me a ride to her place to get ready together. We ordered a pizza and she went to shower before getting ready.

Suzy wore a little black dress that hugged every curve she had, it showed a bit of skin but nothing that she would get embarrassed for. She dried her straight her natural hair which hangs by her shoulders and did a smokey eye and red lip makeup that complemented her beautiful green eyes. To finish off she wore also black heels so her height reaches about 5'6'' and with a small black handbag. And let me say, my friends, she looked hot! Her legs seem to never end.

I wore a blue, almost navy, dress a bit more conservative than Suzy's. I straighten my wavy blondish hair which reaches my mid back. Suzy made my makeup in more a natural look, just to cover some redness of my skin and no lipstick. Well, she wanted to me to use, but I just refused. I finished my look with black flats that I had and also a small black wallet.

We took a taxi to the bar of date, the Greenhouse Bar. We went inside and Suzy took us straight to the bartender and after I showed my ID, because no one believes I'm old enough to drink, he gave us two shots of tequila.

"Really? Why tequila?" I asked her.

"Sorry, I'm just nervous." She said tapping her foot. "Josh is really cute and hot and I always embarrass myself when I nervous. And you don't have to drink, I can drink the two." 

"I rather drink so you could stay sober a bit more. Cheers!" I lift my glass at the same time as her and we took the shot.  

"Do you know if they are already here?" I said after a recovered from all the alcohol the small cup has.

"I guess not. Josh said that they would meet us here." Suzy said while looking around seeing if she didn't miss them. I was just about to say that they were late when she squealed. "Ok, he's here! Behave, Suzy, behave." 

Behind me comes up a really tall guy about 6'2'', goes to kiss Suzy on the cheek and whispers something in her ear that makes her blush instantly. 

This guy has got moves, I think to myself.

The guy, which I'm guessing is Josh has short blond hair and brown eyes, a sharp bone structure and he was wearing a white shirt tucked into his black pants. He had muscle which was easy to tell from the way the shirt looked tight in him.

Meanwhile, Suzy recovered from her redness and composed herself. "Oh Josh, this is Sophie, my friend. Sophie, this is Josh." He finally looked in my direction and lift his hand to shook it. 

"Hi, sorry, it's nice to meet you, Sophie." I mumble a nice to meet you too while I shook his hand. He turned to Sophie again and said showing a perfect smile with his perfect white teeth. "I see that your friends are almost as hot as you."

I swear that Suzy almost falled on to her knees, but she quickly gains her confidence again and cleared her throat. "Where is your friend? I thought you were bringing someone too."

Oh god, I hope that I don't have to be the third wheel. I swear if  I have to be with this two the rest of the night I will kill her. I think to myself.

Before I could start thinking of ways to kill Suzy without being caught, Josh interrupted me.

"Oh, Logan should be on his way. He got caught on with work but should be here about.... now. There he is!" He stood up, so Logan could see us.

When I turned around to face the door, my face fell to the floor.

There stood a walking GOD on this small bar walking in our direction. 

He was tall, very tall, taller than Josh. He was also buffer than Josh wich I could tell from the way the shirt he had behind the blazer seemed to almost rip every time he moved. But he had dark brown hair that was a bit messy, probably from messing with hand. Also has a sharp bone structure, he could be a model just with that face if he wanted. He had the bluest eyes I have ever seen, even with the distance he had I could tell that they were an ocean blue. 

Then I realized I was completely ogling him and he noticed because he had a small smirk playing in his mouth and I look down with embarrassment.

You're so stupid Sophie, you could be more discrete a least. If I could smack my head against a wall right now I would!

Then Logan reaches me quickly, and with only one word, the first thing I hear coming from that low raspy voice makes shiver completely, he whispers: "Mate."

This is it, the first chapter is done!
