"Ouch!!!" I whimpered as the wine glass and its shards came in contact to my skin

"Shut up brat!!!" My father said as he continued hit me with every bottle his got, and I tried hiding my teary face with my long ankle lenght black hair

By the way
I am Kira
I was adopted by my father when I was 1
He was never nice
His daily routine is hitting me with bottles, punching me, kicking me and sometimes even cutting me with knives
He abuses me Mentally, Physically, and Emotionally for almost 17 years
I'm homeschooled, I take classes online
This day he got extra mad because the people in charge of the homeshooling is wanting me to move up another grade again

"Ouch!!" I said, he ran out of bottles and now continued punching me

"P-please F-fath-ther I'm s-s-sorry" I begged him but he got even angrier and hit me so hard that I crashed to the window and landed outside

We are living in the 3rd floor, good thing there were trees to break my fall, but I can't stand it hurt so much

"Oh My Goodness!" A woman said, she was shocked and so is her other companion

"Miss are you alright" the man said as they ran up to me

I shook my head as a no then said "H-h-help H-help m-me p-please "

The man nodded and hurriedly yet carefully carried me to the hospital while his female companion called the police

That's everything I saw before I passed out

I am now starting to gain consiousness, I opened my eyes and saw a white ceiling

I sat up and saw that I was in a hospital room

"Oh you're awake" The doctor said

I got scared not knowing what to do so I backed away near the wall

"Hey, no need to be afraid, I'm Dr. Masaomi" he said

I still didn't move where I was at then he tried to reach his hand out

"Eek!" I yelped too afraid that he might hurt me, causing him to stop reachin out for me

"P-p-please d-don't hurt me, I-I b-beg you" I said in a low voice ,almost whispering

He widened his eyes a bit shocked that I think he would hurt me

"Don't worry I won't hurt you" he said as he took a lollipop out of his pocket and offered it to me

I stared at the lollipop, he took notice and unwrapped it then plopped it in my mouth

"No need to be afraid, I won't hurt you, and you can eat it" he said

I'm now slowly trusting Dr.Masaomi as I slowly got closer to him, he took notice of this and smiled gently

Then the door opened to show my two saviors

"Hello! dear are you ok?!" the woman said, hurrying to my side as I backed away in the corner again

Masaomi took notice "Mother please be gentle you're scaring her" he said

"Oh I'm sorry, by the way I'm Miwa this is my husband Rintarou, and that is one of our son Masaomi" she said as I slowly nodded

"What's your name dear?" Mr. Rintarou asked

".......K-k-kir-ra....." I said in a low voice yet again

"Kira?" Dr. Masaomi asked as I slowly nodded

"Well then Kira, your so called father has been arested, so we decided to adopt you" Ms. Miwa said

I felt a bit happy, its been a long time since I felt that

"......T-thank........y-you" I said with a small smile and normal voice

They all smiled

"Well then what are we waiting for?, let get going! we already called Ukyo to call everyone but we still haven't told them the news" Rintarou said

I got up from the bed and followed them, they told me that we will go shopping first because I don't have belongings

After shopping for 5 pairs of pants and t-shirt with medium sleeves, 3 pairs of longsleeved sweated, 6 pairs of underwear, and 3 shoes

We are now heading home, and I am now wearing new clothes, Miwa wanted me to wear shorts,skirt, and t-shirt with short sleeved but I had  a lot of scars there and when I showed her she understood

We then reached their house, they went in and I followed behind Masaomi

We the reach the living room and saw a lot of males, I got scared by the sudden increase of people , so I hid behind Masaomi tugging his shirt with both my hands

He took notice and smiled gently, then place a hand on my shoulder

"Everyone, were home!!" Miwa said cheerfully

"Mom, Dad, Welcome home" the male voices said

We went closer to everyone, and a kid took notice of me

"Masa-nii whose that person behind you and why is she tugging your shirt?" he asked as the others took notice

I felt their stares and got more scared, so I hugged Masa-nii's arm while still tugging on his shirt a bit

"Wataru, this is your new sister" Masa-nii said

"WHAT?!?!??!" They shouted causing me be terrified

I am now leaning heavily on Masa-nii, he put an arm around me so I won't drop down to the floor

"Hey hey, not too loud you're scaring her" Masaomi said patting my head gently

"Alright, take care of Kira , we have a lot of work to do bye" Mom said as they both walked away

After they went away, Masa-nii and I sat on the middle of the couch, and I'm still not letting go of his arm

"Let's introduce ourselves" the man with the glasses said

"Now, it's your turn Imouto, what's your name?" Kana-nii asked

".........Ki......ra........" I said in a low voice

"What?" Tsubaki asked

"Her name is Kira" Masa-nii answered

"Ne ne how old are you?" Wataru asked

"..........s-seven....teen" I said in a low voice

"Huh? What?" Wataru asked

"She said she's 17" Masa-nii said

"Masa-nii why is she hugging your arm? And speaking in a very low voice?" Azusa asked

"She's afraid" Masa-nii answered

"Afraid?" Kyo-nii asked
