"Jace?" I nearly whispered, while breaking eye contact with the two voids glaring back at me.

He stalked over to where I stood and pinned me against the bathroom wall. I hold back an eye roll, I'm already trapped here.

"I am your mate and Alpha," Jace demanded. His tone of voice was deeper than I ever heard before.

Goosebumps broke out on my body and a shiver raced down my spine.

"Why does your voice sound like that?" I winced.

He looked me up and down and then growled,

"I'm waiting for your explanation."

"I-I'm sorry Jace, I have mood swing problems, well um, I'm bipolar," I whispered.

That got his attention and his eyes shifted from black back to blue-gray.

"I'm sorry Creia that was my wolf," he apologized.

I narrowed my eyes at him in calculation. He has to have some control over his "wolf" while he's still in human form.

"Baby, you're bipolar?" He asked.

"Yes, mildly, the doctors never gave me a real diagnosis they said it's a toss up between a mood disorder and bipolar disorder," I answered and then looked down; I hated telling people this part about me.

He stared back at me and gave me the look that like most people do upon learning this information. I walked past him and back into the bedroom.

"Well they always say that the Alpha's mate will be the one to put him in place and the only person to ever challenge him," Jace stated.

I nodded.

"But you are worth it," he added and then kissed the top of my head.

Sparks shot threw my head and I jerked away from him.

"Please don't resist," he groaned.

"I'm tired," I commented, even though it was lie. I just want this day to  be over.

"Okay, wait do you um, take medication or what do I do to help you?" Jace asked.

"No. I don't use medication because the doctors never got my condition right," I repeated.

"Okay," he stated.

"Where am I sleeping?" I asked.

"In the bed with me," he chuckled.

I looked at his bed and then back to him.

"No," I objected.

"No?" he questioned. He ran his hand down his face.

"I won't," I added while heading towards his bedroom door.

Right as I pulled it open it slammed shut. His hand was above my head holding it closed.

"Jace, try to see this from my perspective," I pleaded while turning around to face him.

He takes a deep breath while looking me up and down.

"I need to keep you safe, it's an instinct. We can stay on separate sides," he negotiated.

It's probably the best I can get from him, I mean there's no telling what he would do if I try to run.

"Deal," I agreed while walking over to his bed and getting under the covers.

"Goodnight mate," he sighed and then he turned off the light and climbed into bed with me.
