"Hey, Reindeer Games! You joining us or what?"

The God of Mischief sighed dramatically before turning to face you. "I refuse to partake in your petty celebrations, now leave me alone," he growled in frustration.

"Suit yourself," you sang mockingly and left his room with a flourish. The Avengers' Christmas celebration consisted of a movie marathon each Christmas Eve and the grumpy God refused to join you — as per everything you did.

He had been brought here by Thor in the hope of occupying him so he doesn't try to, you know, take over the world again. No one had thought it was a particularly good idea, he was exactly where he wanted to be, but arguing with the headstrong God of Thunder never got you anywhere.

So he had been given a room in the Avengers' Tower, one that happened to be opposite yours. The whole damn, enormous building, and you were stuck with the one man who tried to kill you all a year ago and who hated Christmas with a passion. Apparently the celebrations of weak mortals were above him.

It was your job to convince him to join the celebrations. And you had yet to be successful. But a bet was a bet and losing to Tony Stark was not going to happen so try you did. You had tried everything you could think of but the God was having none of it.

Glancing around your room, a sudden smirk passed over your lips as one final idea came to mind. You selected your favourite playlist of Christmas music and slammed it on full volume.

Sure enough, moments later, an angry God stormed into the room demanding you turn that "pathetic torturous music off."

"I'm sorry," you yelled over the blasting music, grinning all the while, "I didn't quite catch that."

He turned around furiously and noticed the speaker on your desk and strode over to it. Grabbing it with more force than necessary, he fiddled around with the buttons but still the Christmas songs played loudly into the room. Cursing, he slammed it back down but that too had no effect.

You lowered the volume just slightly with a smirk. "If you come downstairs and watch these Christmas movies, then I will not force you to listen to these ever again. But, if not, I will find a way to get these playing in your room full volume, don't test me. So, are you coming?"

Loki glowered at you and was about to stalk off back to his room when you cranked up the volume again. You crossed your arms and stared at him with a grin. He relented moments later, "It was foolish to threaten me mortal."

Rolling your eyes, you headed towards the door. "Yeah, yeah, we know, you'll kill me. I'll take my chances. Now, we have Christmas movies to watch." Loki followed behind you with a groan.

All the Avengers had already gathered around the enormous screen when you had made your way downstairs. "Look who's joining us today, I win Stark," you bragged as the angry God stormed in behind you. Everyones' jaws dropped and Tony groaned.

Moments later, the movies began and everyone settled in with snacks and drinks, enjoying the spirit of Christmas — except Loki. He sat beside you, arms folded stiffly and glowering at the screen. You turned in your seat and prodded him with your feet. He glared at you but you just rolled your eyes. "Lighten up, you could at least pretend to have fun."

He gave no response but continued to glare at the movie. You gave up and continued to watch, occasionally checking beside you to see if Loki would enjoy it eventually. Sure enough, by the second movie, the God had relaxed somewhat and settled back into the seat. You grinned smugly beneath your hands.

The next movie that played had all of the Avengers in tears — even if they didn't want to admit it. Out of the corner of your eye, you glanced at Loki. Sure enough, he too had tears in his eyes but wiped them away quickly and began to glare once more. Your grinned victoriously.

Many hours later the movies had finished and only a few of the Avengers were still awake. Tony rubbed his eyes and glanced over at his team, only Natasha was not asleep. Then something else caught the billionaire's eye.

Loki and Y/N on the couch together. Both their heads resting on each other's as they slept, both looking peaceful and the God no longer glaring angrily at everyone.

He nodded over to them chuckling as he whispered to Natasha beside him. "Looks like Reindeer Games doesn't hate Christmas as much as he says."

The woman grinned too at the sight, "Or maybe he doesn't hate Y/N as much either."
