Axel twitched his lips. "Vanessa, I'll handle this. Magsagawa ka muna ng meet—"

"No!" Malakas na pigil ni Vanessa. "I won't hold a fucking meeting without Jamie . . . without my Hellacious!" Madiing sambit ni Vanessa. "I will kill whoever is responsible for this!" She stated.

Axel clenched his jaw dahil sa katigasan ng ulo ng dalaga. He was about to convince her again when she took out her phone to call someone.

Axel frustratedly ran his fingers through his hair.

"Eric," Vanessa called her friend. "W-where are you . . . ? Si Jamie?"

"Ha? Kasama ko, Vannie! Miss mo na ba ako?" He giggled from the other line. "Nandito pa ako sa bahay ni Tito! Ano, nagbago na ba ang isip mo at sasama ka na sa 'kin?"

Nakahinga ng maluwag si Vanessa at napasapo ng noo.

'She's safe . . . Jamie's safe . . .'

Vanessa glanced at Axel's direction and found him looking at her. She nodded at him kaya nakahinga ng maluwag si Axel. Alam na niyang ligtas si Jamie.

"I want you to listen carefully to me, Eric." Aniya sa seryosong tono. "I want you to send a lot of bodyguards to my Uncle before you leave that house."

Nakaramdam na si Eric at sumeryoso ang boses. "M-may nangyari ba?"

Napalabi ang dalaga. "MQ1 is down." Mahinang sagot niya. "Some motherfucker . . . set the house on fire."

Sa kabilang linya ay natulala si Eric sa narinig. Jamie who's beside him looked at him na tila nagtataka sa pinag-uusapan ng magkaibigan.

"P-paano?! Putakte naman."

Napailing si Vanessa. "I don't fucking know! All of them are dead!" Nagagalit na sambit ng dalaga.

Akmang papakinggan ng dalaga ang sagot ng kaniyang kaibigan nang makarinig sila ng malakas na pagsabog mula sa labas ng bahay na dahilan upang lumaglag ang pinakamalaking chandelier sa bahay.

"Shit!"

Kaagad nilingon ni Axel ang dalaga upang tignan kung ayos lang ang lagay nito dahil sa pagkakabagsak ng chandelier. Vanessa managed to move away before the chandelier falls so she's okay. Natamaan siya ng ilang mga bubog nito kaya nagdugo ang ibang bahagi ng braso niya.

Axel was about to check her wound when she suddenly walked away to check what exploded.

Only to find out that MQ2 — the other hideout of Valkedestine Organization exploded.

Vanessa's POV

I DON'T know what to feel right now but all I know is that anger is consuming my whole body. My whole body's shaking due to anger to someone who fucking did this.

Axel and I had to leave that location right away because we assumed that another explosion might occur. I didn't want to leave but I didn't want to risk our lives either. So we decided to go home and held a meeting with Jamie and Eric.

"This is not a coincidence." I clenched my fist. "I can feel it. This is not a fucking coincidence."

"Pero sino namang gagawa no'n, Vannie? Wala akong kaaway ha." Depensa kaagad ni Eric.

"I don't know." I answered, lifelessly.

I don't have any idea why someone would fucking attack us.

"Money." Axel suddenly blurted out. "He's probably after my baby's money."

My forehead knotted.

There's a possibility that he's after my money but why wouldn't he fucking face me instead?

Fucking coward.

Why would he fucking attack my men? Why don't he just fucking show up and ask for my fucking money, then?

"Waleya, pera lang pala! Edi sana sa 'kin na siya nanghingi." Eric waved his cash na hawak-hawak niya.

I rolled my eyes. We don't have time for your silliness, Eric.

"Queen . . ." lumapit sa 'kin si Jamie. "May kailangan kang malaman." Nag-aalinlangan niyang sambit.

"What is it?"

Axel glanced at us. "Eric answered a call a few days ago at sabi niya, wala raw sumasagot sa kabilang linya." Napatingin naman ako kay Eric na may pagtataka rin sa mukha. "At first, I thought it was a prank call pero napapaisip ako," she looked directly into my eyes.

"—paano kung hindi?"

"What makes you say so?"

I need to scrutinize the situation. I need to connect all the fucking dots.

But one thing's for sure.

I will not let this pass.

I will fucking make whoever did this pay.

"I don't know, Queen . . ." she looked away. "Pero kanina,"

Napaayos ng upo si Axel, "Kanina . . . I examined the MQ Houses at nakaamoy ako ng gas." My brows slightly furrowed. "And I think,"

Nakuha niya ng buo ang atensyon ko.

"I think Queen's right." She laid her eyes on Eric's and Axel's. "This is not a coincidence. This is intentional."

I knew it.

Someone planned this.

And I don't care whatever reason he has.

"He committed arson." I clenched my fist. "He killed our men." A mocking smirk crept into my lips. "And I will not let this go."

Axel's gaze and I met as our eyes became sharp while looking at each other.
