Kendalls POV

Cris's arm remand around my shoulder but his grip on me had loosened and we weren't as close as we were seconds ago. I could no longer smell the spicy Versace cologne he had on. The blond continued to walk across and sat right in front if me.

I didn't want to be rude, but her big head and overly teased hair were blocking my view of the tennis match that was about to take place. Cris seemed to be holding in his breath. Not wanting to make a sound, she hadn't exactly seen him yet. I don't know for sure who she was to him, but she looks so familiar to me. Im almost positive I've seen her before. And it didn't take a genus to come to a conclusion. Cris wasn't simply 'friends' with tall blondes.

I glanced at Cris who seemed to be trying to avoid the entire situation. If he's trying to hide something, he's doing a horrible job, because he's so tense and he clearly doesn't think that I suspect something.

Then it occurred to me. I guess googling Cris a few weeks back, when I first found out I was about to 'date' him wasn't such a bad idea, because you never know when one of this Ex girlfriends is going to walk into the same arena as you while your curled up in her Ex boyfriends chest.

The match started and although I didn't know much about tennis it was fun to watch. But it only took about 2 minutes for me to burst out in laughter due to all the loud grunts that the players were making as they jumped side to side to ram the ball.

Cris looked at me and began to laugh too. After a few moments he tried to contain himself and hold it in, but this made it worse and he ended up laughing 100 times louder than before. I was sitting there giggling a chocking on air just watching him. People were starring at us so we quickly quitted down, not wanting to disturb anyone.

I tried to talk moments later, but my voice was sorta loud. If I tried to whisper it would have been worse, because I wouldn't be cable of holding in my remaining laughter.

"Why is it that-" Before I could finish my sentence the blond turned around to face me.

"Excuse me , but do you min--"

She was midway through her sentence when she stopped. I followed her eyes and noticed that she had made eye contact with Cris and clearly recognized him. Which probably wasn't that hard. Cris doesn't really blend into a crowd with his astonishing good looks. Weeks ago I would have never said that, but now it was something worth noting.

"Cris Wow! I haven't seen you in so long! You look great!" she shrieked.

Her voice annoyed me and she said 'You look great' in a flirtatious tone. Like no.

"Yeah long time no see. You look good too." Cris responded with a nervous smile.

Oh hell no. First of all she didn't look good, so there was no reason to lie.

She looked towards me and stuck out her hand, "Hi Im Ashely." Her smile was almost as fake as her boobs.

But I played along and shook her hand as well, "Kendall."

"So um like what are you guys?" she questioned like it was her business.

Cris looked at me for the answer like he was incapable of speaking.

We sat there in silence and I was more than irritated at this point.

"Im a friend." As I said this I shifted my body away from Cris. Did he loose his voice in the past few minutes or something?

"Oh so you guys aren't like dating or anything?" she said eagerly.

Cris was about to finally speak but I spoke for him, "Nope."

"So it would be ok for me to give Cris my number incase he lost it?"

My blood was boiling but I replied with, "Go right ahead."

Cris looked at me with an astonished look, "No i'll be fine without your number." His eyes were still locked on mine.

"She was just joking when she said we were friends, we're ugh more than- its complicated." he looked at Ashely again, "Sorry."

Ashely frowned, but nodded her head and turned away.

Cris didn't look at me for the rest of the match until we were in the car.

"What are we?" He asked as he made a left turn out of the parking lot.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I just- I thought were something more than friends." he said.

"Yeah I know were fake dating." I was annoyed that he didn't speak up when Ashely was flirting. He should have said something and not waited for me to do all the talking. The only thing thats stopping me from yelling at him is the fact that he declined her number.

Cris sighed, " So were back to the 'this whole this is fake and we cant actually have feeling for each-other' phase."

I frowned. I didn't like it either. But at this point I was just so sick and tired of thinking about us and that we actually had a chance. "Its how its suppose to be. Were suppose to play by the rules."

"Guess what?" he grinned.

"What?" I asked confused.

"I don't play by the rules. I've actually gotten a yellow card this season." he winked at me and I couldn't help but smile.

"So how about we don't play by the rules?" he asked.

"What does that mean?" I giggled.

"That means I get to take you out on a real date, we get to kiss & hug and not just for cameras, we get to spend as much time together as we want, how about ... we actually get the chance to fall in love with each other." I almost couldn't believe the wolds that were coming out of the mouth of the biggest playboy in the world.

"And what if one of us gets hurt?" I asked. Not wanting to be the one who's heart gets torn into two.

"Kendall, If I had to choose anyone to break my heart it would be you." he whispered.

"And whys that?" I asked. I don't think he knew I heard him.

"Because your the only one that actually makes me believe I can have my heart broken."
