🎀 Kayla 🎀

''Can anyone tell me what the limiting reactant is, if 4.95 g of ethylene (C2H4) are combusted with 3.25 g of oxygen?", the teacher asked.

I slowly raised my hand.

"Ah yes, Ms.Jones", Mr. Lumbard said.

"O2", I whispered.

**Ring Ring Ring**

"Okay class, there's no homework, besides getting your parents to sign your rubrics", he said.

As I was about to leave I got called backed.

"Ms.Jones--", he started.

"Kayla--you can call me Kayla", I mumbled.

He grinned,"Kayla, I'd like to talk to you about your little shyness."

I sighed.

"You got to be able to speak up around people-", he started, but I zoned out.

That got me thinking about how I met Romero, the way I was nervous around him, yet it felt so right to be near him.

"Kayla!", slightly raising his voice, he looked at me with concern.

I shrieked, cowering away from him.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, are you okay?", he asked, looking apologetic.

"Yes...um..I have to go now, bye!", I said, running out.

  *LUNCH*

I grabbed my trey and headed to the lunch tables.

"Kayla, over here!", Lily shouted.

As I made my way over I seen a girl I don't know on Romero's lap. For some reason I felt a little upset and jealous.

"Hey, glad you can join us", Jordan said.

"Hey girl", Lily said.

"What's up", Romero said, looking irritated at the girl.

Everyone but the girl whose name I still don't know said something.

"Hi", I said to everyone, taking a seat, my eyes stayed a little longer on him.

"Where were you?", Lily asked me.

"Oh, Mr. Lumbard had to speak with me", I said.

"About?", Romero asked. Causing all eyes on me.

Sensing my nervousness, Lily switched up the conversation.

"Babe when are tryouts?"

"Today from 4-6, why so you can cheer me on?"

"Maybe", Lily blushed.

"Well when I make tryouts, look out for #23", he said winking at her.
