twelfth Part

After you went to remove all the sand you had, you walked towards the other but as you did, you heard the innkeeper say “I’m sorry but those are the only rooms i have available,please forgive us” with a bow, she left to the kitchen. You walked towards a table where Mepha and Daruk sat waiting for Link to serve the meal,”what’s the matter Princess?” Asked Daruk tilting hes head slightly,”The stable only has two rooms available” she replyied as she sat and laid her head on the table. “I preffer to sleep outside, so what are you going to do?” Said Daruk as he started to see the problem, “we can all sleep but the rooms are.. Single bedded” she said as she gave a annoyied sigh.

Link served everyones meal and sat besides Zelda looking at her with a puzzeld face as she was lost in thoughts playing with her food,he poked her hand making her flinch and once she looked at him he signed,”Are you okay? You got lost there for a moment”. When she rememberd what she was thinking about she quickly told him nothing as she started to blush, suddenly finding the food more interesting. “Zel” you said as she lookes up from her plate and looked at you,”Link rarely sleeps and i can sleep anywhere, why don’t you and Mepha take the rooms?” You said smiling warmly but when she was going to protest agaisnt it you looked at her still smiling but made it clear there was no fighting.

“We can stay outside the rooms guarding you two” you said as you saw the worried stare that Mepha gave you,”See princess? Theres alwaya an option” said Daruk as he finished eating and stood from the table as he started to stretch,”The spring that [Name] made for me is still calling, i think i might sleep there” he said but as he saw everyones face wonderd if he said something wrong.”Daruk, do you think its safe for you to sleep so far from the group?” Said Zelda as she looked towarsd the lake,Daruk started to laugh loudly as he pattes hes belly “Princess, we gorons curl into ball and durimg the night, i might pass as a rock”, after she considerd it she gave a slow nod as she said “Do be careful, once you wake up please come here”, with a smile and goodnights Daruk left to sleep leaving you four to decide what to do about the rooms.

“I can stay outside with Link guarding the rooms, we won’t mind” you said as you took a spoonful of soup followed by Link nodding to confirme he doesn’t mind, “What about you? You do sleep unlike him” asked Zelda looking at you worried. “Did you forgot that i basicley don’t sleep?” You said in a way to assure her you don’t mind but only managed to make Mipha worry. “If i may” Said Mipha shylie looking at her plate, “would you being in the room with us an option?”, you and Link looked at each other then at Zelda, she blushed lightly and said “That could be an option”.

After everyone finished the food, Mipha stood from the table after giving her good nights and was about to make her way to her room but you asked if she could wait, she only gave you a nod as you went to retrive your backpack with your sword and shield. Once you reached her, she put her hand on your arm as you two made way for the room, you opend the door and asked her if she could wait a moment as you went inside and started to invastigate the room. You checked under the bed and opend the wardrobe, you saw a small hole where a Keese might fit during the night but decided to cover it with your backpack. “Is something wrong?” Asked Mipha as she held her spear across her chest, “Just a small hole but i coverd it with my bag” you said as you laid your sword and shield besides the night stand, she looked at you and laid her spear besides your gear.

“Will you stay here or will you go outside?” She asked shylie every now and then stealing a glance at you, you smiled at her and pat her head “I’m staying here, just going to bring a chair, i’ll be right back”. She looked at you and noded as you leaved to take a chair upstair but when you reached the room you saw Mipha taking off her jewelry making you blush, you cough to get her attention making her turn around and smile at you but when she looked at you she had a confused face as she asked “Is something wrong? You seem a bit red”. You looked at the floor while taking the chair inside putting it besides the bed, “um… It’s nothing” you said as she looked at you, she sat on the bed and asked “what will you be doing while I sleep?”, you took a book out of your backpack and sat on the chair with the sword and shield near. “I still have to finish my book or do you want to talk?” you said as you smiled at her, she smiled brightly.

She sat on the bed as you leaned foward talking with her, every now and then you would make a joke just to see her smile making you smile widely knowing you caused it, she yawned after some time and you couldn’t help but find her adorable. She looked at you sadly and you decided to cheer her up, you cleaned a tear in the corner of her eye as you kissed her forehead making her flinch followed by her covering her face. “I’ll be right here reading, don’t worry” you said smiling brightly at her and she couldn’t help but smile back at you as she layied under the bed sheets, she looked at you and said “Good night [name]” you looked at her smiling and said “Good night Mipha, sleep well”. You took the book and started to read but after some time you saw Mipha moving in her sleep with a frown, you marked the page and layied a hand agaisnt her arm and moved her lightly calling her, she opend her eyes and you saw how they were watery as she started to dry them. “Mipha, were you having a nightmare?” You asked as you sat on the edge of your chair, she simply nodded at you as you saw her mouth moving as if fearing to talk.

You sat on the bed and hugged her making her flinch, you put her head against your chest as you ran a hand through her back, it was too much as she pulled at your shirt as she started to sob lightly mufeld by your shirt.

You sat there with her crying until she finally stoped to catch her breath, you cleaned a tear that stained her cheeck but she held your hand against her cheek, “Do you want to talk about it?” You asked her as you pet her cheek. She looked at you and said “I was inside Vahn Ruta fighting a horrible creature, it was hurting Ruta but when i tried to fight it, it turned to be more poweeful than i though and it managed to....” she said as she started to sob again but this time you pulled her harder against your chest.

After She stopped crying, you layied on the bed with her her head against your chest, you hugged her and said “I don’t like seeing you cry, i hope this helps”. You felt how she smiled weakly against your chest as her breathing calmed and fell asleep,

after some time you feel how todays spent energy is slowly taking its toll as your eyes start to get heavy, you decided to give in and fell asleep with her head under your chin.
